JavaWeather App v1.0.0 Release

I am excited to announce the first official release of the JavaWeather App! This release includes installers for multiple platforms to ensure compatibility across various systems. Below are the available files for download:

  • Windows

    • JavaWeather-1.0.0.exe: Installer for Windows.
  • macOS

    • JavaWeather-1.0.0_arm64.dmg: Disk image for macOS on ARM64 architecture (Apple Silicon).
    • JavaWeather-1.0.0_x64.dmg: Disk image for macOS on x64 architecture (Intel).
  • Linux

    • javaweather-1.0.0_amd64.deb: Debian package for Linux on AMD64 architecture.

Features:

  • JavaWeather is a weather application built using JavaFX. It collects and displays current weather data and a 5-day forecast for a specified location using the free OpenWeatherMap API.
  • User-friendly interface for checking weather forecasts.
  • Supports multiple locations.

Installation Instructions:

  • Windows:

    • Download JavaWeather-1.0.0.exe.
    • Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • macOS:

    • Download the appropriate .dmg file for your architecture (JavaWeather-1.0.0_arm64.dmg for Apple Silicon, JavaWeather-1.0.0_x64.dmg for Intel).
    • Open the .dmg file and drag the JavaWeather app to your Applications folder.
  • Linux:

    • Download javaweather-1.0.0_amd64.deb.
    • Install the package using your package manager (e.g., sudo dpkg -i javaweather-1.0.0_amd64.deb).

Notes:

  • Ensure you have a valid OpenWeatherMap API key. You will be prompted to enter it upon first launch.
