Pandora as a streaming source (US) -> tracked in #243

US testers wanted: iHeartRadio and Pandora on STR speakers. Your SoundTouch still has its own iHeartRadio and Pandora clients, and v1.0.3 keeps both on US speakers automatically, with no switch and no setup. I need someone in the US with a speaker running STR and an iHeartRadio and/or Pandora account to confirm it works.

After updating, restart the speaker from the STR app, open the Bose SoundTouch app and check: are iHeartRadio and Pandora listed, do your old presets for them play, can you pick a new station? Restart the speaker once more and check again. Then save a diagnostic from the STR app ("Save diagnostic log" at the very bottom) and attach it here. It never contains your password and masks your account name. Step by step details are in docs/streaming/us-services.md.

Although buttons now show as saved in app, after reboot pressing the app button or the speaker button does not play the station. New Diagnostic log attached

When you hold a key on the speaker, the speaker reports the station name in the field where STR expects your Pandora or iHeartRadio account. STR stored that name as the account, the speaker refused it on every tap from the app, and after a restart STR couldn't put the station back on the key. That's why buttons 2 and 3 went dead.

The fix is in v1.0.6 (build), and the Pandora keys you already saved should work again without saving them again. One limit stays for now. An iHeartRadio station on a key plays from the app, but the speaker's own button loses it after a restart.

Your second diagnostic file also contains the login of the stream on key 6 ("Whisperings"), user name and password inside its address. I've removed the links to your diagnostic files from your comments, and to be safe please change that stream password. Since v1.0.6 the diagnostic file masks such logins.

This is a little off this topic, but would SiriusXM work in the same way?

I use to access SiriusXM from the BoseSoundTouch App but I'm not sure if the Soundtouch has it own client like Pandora or iHeart. SiriusXM does not show up when I list sources so I assume I'd have to add my account back in with the POST command if this is possible?

I don't know yet. The speaker knows SiriusXM as a source, but unlike Pandora and iHeartRadio I haven't checked whether its firmware still has a working SiriusXM client, and STR doesn't offer that source to the speaker today. SiriusXM is an idea with its own vote in #997; an upvote there helps me decide what comes next.

Shipped in v1.0.13: link Pandora to a speaker in its settings in the desktop app, and your Pandora stations show up in the Find tab and on the phone remote. Pandora is offered on US speakers. Tell me how it works for you.

My Speaker was already connected to Pandora through the previous method of using the Bose SoundTouch app. In v1.0.13 Pandora now shows up as a source. In order to test the new integration I tried to use the disconnect button. I've attached a screenshot, however pressing the disconnect button does not appear to work as the button does not change and Pandora presets still play. I've attached the diagnostic log as well.

Your diagnostic shows a bug in STR. Disconnect only removed accounts that STR itself had linked. Yours came over from the Bose app, so STR never sent the removal to the speaker, still said "Disconnected.", and the speaker kept Pandora, which is why your presets still play. #1311 fixes it for Pandora and iHeartRadio, and if the speaker keeps an account anyway, the app now shows an error. It ships with the next release, and thanks for testing the one case I couldn't.
