It would be great if one could set an alarm on the Soundtouch 10 and 20!! Any chance of incorporating this?

Help me understand what should set the alarm off, because the answer differs. If you mean a wake-up alarm, a time of day at which the speaker starts playing a chosen preset, that is a feature STR does not have yet; it fits the design (the STR software runs on the speaker around the clock), and once I know that is what you are after I will put it on the feature backlog. It would then be built carefully rather than quickly, an alarm that silently fails to fire is worse than none.

If you mean an alert triggered by something else, motion, a door sensor, home automation in general, that works today. Every STR speaker has a local API, and any smart-home server on your network (Home Assistant for example) can start one of the six presets with a single HTTP call, POST to http://SPEAKER-IP:8888/api/play/1 through 6 (port 17008 on some models). Tell me which of the two you are after.

Hi! Thanks for the rapid anser! I was thinking more of an alarm clock, as you write the first paragraph, so that users can be woken up by music from the Soundtouch! That would be a really useful function maybe! By the way, your app is really great! Congratulations! I was using an app on the Ipad, but it is not at all as functional as yours!!

And yes, a wake-up alarm fits well here: the agent runs on the speaker around the clock, so it can start a preset at a set time without anything else being switched on. It is on the feature list now. I would rather build it carefully than promise a date, because an alarm that silently fails to fire is worse than no alarm, so it needs to be right.
