What's changed in v1.0.14
New features
- Holding a preset key whose playlist or station sits on another key swaps the two keys
- Pressing the key of the playlist that plays right now skips to its next track
- The app's Library searches your whole music library by album, artist or track
- The phone remote can switch the speaker display settings
- You can swap artist and title for a radio station that sends them the wrong way round
- Play stations from a stream server on your network (app)
- Spotify preset keys show the playlist or album cover instead of the Spotify logo (app)
- The Wishes tab shows which version a built wish shipped in (app)
- Preset keys on the phone remote show their cover (phone)
Fixes
- A Spotify preset takes the playback back when another speaker on the same account grabs it while the preset starts
- A folder whose tracks never start stops after a few silent tracks instead of running through the whole folder
- A hotspot login page no longer counts as a working internet connection
- A library track or folder that the speaker never starts is woken and handed over once more instead of playing silently
- A preset that could not start no longer leaves the speaker with an amber light
- A radio station's placeholder title no longer replaces the station name on the speaker display
- Disconnecting Pandora or iHeartRadio also removes an account that was linked with the Bose app
- Forgetting other Wi-Fi networks never keeps a public hotspot over your home network
- Holding a preset key on a SoundTouch 10 now saves the Spotify playlist or library track that STR plays
- Replaying a track from the history on the phone page shows its progress bar again
- Saving a Spotify key says when the Spotify plan could not be checked
- Switching a cabled speaker to Wi-Fi saves the network and tells you to unplug the cable instead of failing
- The app no longer calls the Wave's own source AUX
- The display clock setting is now called "Show clock during playback"
- The preset key check no longer interrupts a music-library play that is still starting
- The speaker warning no longer says every station fails while radio still plays, and goes away on its own
- The station name on the speaker display is easier to read
- When a speaker refuses a preset over a playing station, STR puts the station back on
- A cover that failed to load once is retried instead of staying blank until the app restarts (library)
- Album keys fall back to the folder's cover when its tracks carry none (library)
- A diagnostic file no longer carries the name of the device Spotify was moved to (privacy)
- A diagnostic file no longer shows the first and last letters of a Spotify account id (privacy)

Verify your download
Every binary in this release is attested by GitHub's build provenance system.
# SHA256 checksum
sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS
# Sigstore attestation (requires GitHub CLI)
gh attestation verify STR-Windows.exe --owner JRpersonalCode signing
Windows: signed with a Certum Open Source code signing certificate. SmartScreen may still warn while the signature builds download reputation.
macOS: signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarized by Apple. The app and the disk image each carry a stapled ticket, so Gatekeeper opens them without a warning, offline included.
Any warning you do see, and the exact click path past it, is documented on the website Verify page.

Each binary in this release is uploaded to VirusTotal on build, so the unsigned apps' heuristic false-positives are checkable. Live reports for this exact build:
