Safe Online Exam 1.0.0 is the first stable public release of the Canvas LTI
integration.

Highlights

• Canvas LTI 1.3 course and root-account workflows for Classic Quizzes and New
  Quizzes.
• Certificate-encrypted Safe Exam Browser configurations with Config Key proof
  and one-time Canvas access-code release.
• Root-account operations, school tool presets, instructor-owned exam tools,
  and cross-course tool copying.
• PostgreSQL-backed sessions, settings, OAuth grants, transient state,
  concurrency controls, migrations, and cleanup.
• Production packaging for Node.js 24 and PostgreSQL 17 on Docker Compose,
  conventional container platforms, and Google Cloud Run with Cloud SQL.
• Multi-architecture linux/amd64 and linux/arm64 GHCR images with
  provenance, SBOM, attestation, and a digest-pinned Compose release bundle.

Installation

After the publishing workflow completes, download
safe-online-exam-1.0.0-compose.tar.gz from this release for the supported
self-hosted installation path. The bundle pins the exact published image
digest. Follow its README and the repository deployment guide before connecting
Canvas.

Production deployments should use the immutable ghcr.io digest recorded
below, not a moving tag such as latest.
