Changelog

Version 1.3.3 has been motivated by the failure of release 1.3.2 to upload to Zenodo. It fixes the malformed CITATION.cff to allow that upload to complete. A couple of other fixes have been included in the process.

User

  • Fix the compensation of CG moves for a vehicle on the ground when its CG starts exactly at the origin of the structural frame. The origin is a valid CG location but was mistaken for "no CG seen yet", so the first CG move was never compensated and the structure shifted when the mass distribution changed (PR #1523, @AlexanderRex).
  • Fix the friction model of the brushless DC motor (FGBrushLessDCMotor) so that the zero torque current i0 always resists the rotation, following Drela's first-order motor model. Previously a motor whose throttle was cut kept spinning at low RPM instead of stopping. The torque of a driven motor is unchanged (PR #1524, @AlexanderRex).

Developer

  • Fix the CITATION.cff file, whose malformed metadata made the upload of release 1.3.2 to Zenodo fail. The file is rewritten in the standard CFF layout (commit 72264cd, @agodemar).
  • Add the validation of CITATION.cff (using cffconvert) to the CI/CD workflow, to prevent a malformed file from breaking the Zenodo upload of a release. (PR #1528, @bcoconni).
