This program allows screen snapshots, recording, along with various filters through the use of OpenCV.
Please note that this project was used as a lab for me to test out various possibilities of OpenCV.
Therefore, it has the minimum amount of UI integration and may have minor bugs that were not fully addressed.

Clone this repo by using the following command in your desired repository:
git clone https://github.com/JSLee-24/Frame_Lab.git -
Run by using the following command:
python3 main.py
You should now have the webcam screen, and the terminal available. -
To exit, press
qon the frame orCTRL + Con the terminal.
There will be 5 different commands available as soon as the program runs.
These commands are to be typed while you are focused on your webcam screen.
- (S) Take a snapshot
- This command will prompt you to enter in the name for the new image in the terminal
- This will then:
- first create a folder called
Imagesunder the project directory if it does not exist - save the new image in the Images folder
- first create a folder called
- (R) Record a video
- The recording will begin the first time you press
R - The recording will stop the second time you press
R - This command will prompt you to enter in the name for the new video in the terminal
- This will then:
- first create a folder called
Videosunder the project directory if it does not exist - save the new video in the Videos folder
- first create a folder called
- The recording will begin the first time you press
- (D) Delete a file
- (F) Apply a filter
- (Q) Quit
The following is a list of available filters.
To apply these filters, after choosing the filter action command (F), you must type the number of the filter into the terminal and press enter.
