PauseLab v1.3.0 — Native Android judging build

This release turns the mobile prototype into an installable Android application while keeping the PWA as a browser preview.

New

  • Native Android APK for Android 8.0+.
  • User-started foreground focus service that continues after PauseLab leaves the screen.
  • Transparent, click-through creature animation above ordinary apps when focus time ends.
  • Immediate overlay preview without waiting for a timer.
  • Custom 1–120 minute focus duration and 10–300 second break duration.
  • Notification, overlay, and optional exact-alarm permission guidance in Chinese and English.
  • Six creature types plus a mixed mode, using the same clean-room transparent atlas as desktop.

Privacy and platform boundaries

No account, backend, telemetry, or upload endpoint was added. Android intentionally hides third-party overlays on security-sensitive system, password, and payment screens. The attached APK uses a development signature for hackathon judging and direct testing; it is not an app-store production build.

Install

Download PauseLab-Android-1.3.0-judging.apk, allow installation from the browser or file manager if prompted, and follow the first-run permission guide. Tap Preview now, then switch to the launcher or another ordinary app to see the cross-app effect.
