Ignore the auto-generated source-code archives unless you plan to build ComfyStudio from source.

Highlights

  • Added the new UGC Creator workflow for creator-style social ads, product demos, casual reviews, testimonials, try-ons, and dialogue-driven short-form videos.
  • Added UGC one-shot video generation support for Seedance 2.0 and LTX 2.3 lip-sync workflows, plus cleanup for duration, delivery, FPS, and portrait/vertical handling.
  • Improved UGC image and video generation reliability, including better Nano Banana/GPT reference handling and more consistent asset naming.
  • Improved custom ComfyUI workflow support, including workflow endpoint handling and People Wizard support for selecting an existing finished character sheet instead of forcing a new sheet generation.
  • Added a major captions workflow overhaul with a live animated preview, scrub/play controls, TikTok safe-zone overlay, unified style controls, custom fonts, outline/background/shadow controls, and reusable saved caption styles.
  • Added new caption presets and motion behavior, including Punch captions, refined Kinetic captions, and cleaner motion tiers.
  • Added a dedicated reusable captions track so re-generating captions no longer piles up empty caption tracks.
  • Added export loudness normalization to help final renders come out at a more consistent listening level.
  • Fixed preview behavior so hidden-track transitions and caption/overlay layers do not incorrectly affect the captured preview frame.
  • Simplified and cleaned up the preview overlay controls for a less cluttered editing surface.

Caption Notes

  • Caption generation follows the edited timeline audio, including trims, gaps, and muted regions.
  • Caption style presets can now be saved and reused, but captions may still need manual review after transcription.
  • The TikTok safe-zone overlay is only a layout guide for previewing placement; it is not burned into the final video unless captions/effects are rendered.

UGC Creator Notes

  • The UGC Creator is new and should be considered beta while more real-world ad formats are tested.
  • LTX 2.3 is the best local/free starting point for lip-sync style tests, but it still requires the correct local ComfyUI models and nodes.
  • Seedance, Kling, Nano Banana, GPT Image, and other partner-node workflows may require Comfy account login, credits, and provider-specific content rules.
  • One-shot routes can help keep voice and delivery more consistent, while shot-by-shot routes give more editorial control. Results will vary by model.

Linux Notes

The Linux builds are 64-bit only. Use Linux AppImage for most modern desktop Linux distros such as Ubuntu, Debian, Linux Mint, Pop!_OS, Fedora, openSUSE, Arch, and Manjaro. Use Linux deb for Debian/Ubuntu-family distros.

Notes

  • ComfyStudio still depends on a separate local ComfyUI installation.
  • Some workflows may require manual node or model setup in ComfyUI.
  • Custom workflows should be ComfyUI API workflow JSONs, not regular visual workflow JSONs, unless you send them back through the ComfyStudio Bridge.
  • Custom workflow inputs only update when the graph keeps the matching COMFYSTUDIO_* endpoint nodes.
  • Short Film Creation and older experimental creator paths are still very beta and may have rough edges.
