v1.0.4 Braille rendering parity
Micron2HTML v1.0.4
A focused follow-up to the v1.0.2 MeshChat parity pass — one rendering bug fixed in the bundled stylesheet.
Fixed
Braille (U+2800-28FF) now renders without gaps
Roboto Mono Nerd Font's Braille glyphs don't reach the cell edges, so a row of full-dot Braille — like a header bar drawn with ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿… — displayed as a row of separated dots instead of a contiguous grid. MeshChat doesn't have this issue because its renderer falls through to a system font for that block.
The bundled micron-meshchat.css now matches that behaviour:
- The Roboto Mono
@font-facecarriesunicode-range: U+0000-27FF, U+2900-FFFF, U+10000-10FFFF(everything except Braille). - A second
@font-facedeclaration claims the Braille block (U+2800-28FF) and pulls from alocal()fallback chain —Noto Sans Mono→DejaVu Sans Mono→Symbola→Apple Symbols→Segoe UI Symbol. None of these are bundled; the browser uses whichever the user's OS already ships.
If none of the fallback fonts are installed, the browser drops to its generic monospace default and the gap returns — strictly no worse than before, and zero KB added to page weight.
Upgrade
pip install --upgrade Micron2HTMLIf you copy micron-meshchat.css into your own static directory during build, replace it with the new version. No HTML/JSON output changes — this is a pure CSS fix.
No breaking changes
Public API, rendered HTML structure, and class names are unchanged from v1.0.3.
