Release list
Setlist 0.1.1
Setlist now needs no account or API key at all, and a finished set is no longer final: reopen it, fix a title or a cue, and replace the files.
Install
- Download
Setlist-0.1.1-arm64.dmgbelow and open it. - Drag Setlist into Applications.
- On first launch macOS says it "could not verify" the app — Setlist is a free project without an Apple Developer ID. Click Done, open System Settings » Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway (or right-click the app » Open). Once.
Requires macOS 26 (Tahoe) or newer on Apple Silicon. Everything the app needs — the media engine, ffmpeg, yt-dlp — is inside the bundle. Updating from 0.1.0: replace the app in Applications; your Recent sets and settings carry over.
What's new
- Edit Set. Any finished set in Recent has an Edit Set button: the review screen opens with the saved metadata and tracklist, and Replace Files rewrites the album. Files the new run no longer produces go to the Trash, never straight to deletion.
- Re-runs are fast. The encoded full-set master is cached (
~/.cache/setlist/masters, 3 GB cap, oldest out first), so an edited set skips the download and encode. - "Ready to review" is a door, not a wall. A set left in review reopens with Continue Review.
- 1001tracklists search that finds things. The app asks the site's own search first, scores results by title match so a fuzzy hit for a different set is rejected, recognises DuckDuckGo's bot page instead of reading it as "no results", and gives up after 12 s instead of hanging. If nothing is found, Search in Browser opens the query for you.
- No API keys. The optional OpenAI metadata step is gone — the rule-based title parse was already what most sets used — and with it the last key field in Settings. Settings now offers exactly two decisions: output folder and ALAC/AAC.
- Fixed: split sets listed their album folder as an extra "track" (31 tracks read as 32).

Setlist 0.1.0
First public release. Setlist turns a YouTube DJ set or concert into a tagged, gapless album in Apple Music, entirely on your own Mac.
Install
- Download
Setlist-0.1.0-arm64.dmgbelow and open it.
What it does
- Paste a YouTube URL → best-quality audio, encoded to ALAC (or AAC 256), tagged, with a square cover.
- Finds the tracklist (YouTube chapters, description timestamps, or 1001tracklists) and cuts the set into per-track files losslessly at the cues.
- Review metadata and cue points before anything is written; preview cues in the embedded player.
- Add to Apple Music in one click when the set is done — imports as a single gapless album.
- Optional OpenAI key for cleaning up titles/artists/genres (Settings,
⌘,).
