This PR adds the option to create a collection of multiscale arrays in a chained fashion, i.e. the nth multiscale image is a function of the (n-1)th image. This saves computation and offers speedups, at the cost of a slightly less flexible dependency graph for the full multiscale collection. This PR also removes the
metadatamodule, because that is being done better elsewhere.
