Download and play
Download moonstone-ace-v0.1.0-amiga1200.zip from the assets below. No compiler or build tools are needed.

Extract the ZIP.
Copy your own three original Moonstone ADF images into the extracted moonstone-ace folder, beside the moonstone executable. The filenames don’t matter. A disks subfolder also works.
Copy the folder to your Amiga hard disk and run moonstone from an Amiga Shell, for example:
DH0:moonstone-ace/moonstone
For Workbench launching, give the executable a Tool icon.

Requirements
Amiga 1200: 68020, AGA, Kickstart 3.x and 2 MB chip RAM
Fast RAM recommended
Your own copy of the three original Moonstone (Mindscape, 1991) disks
WinUAE: boot an equivalent A1200 Workbench configuration, mount the extracted folder as a directory hard drive, and run moonstone from the Amiga Shell.

This is an Amiga executable, not a Windows program. No original game assets, disk images, Kickstart ROM or Workbench files are included.

Modding support
Many settings can be changed through INI files without recompiling, including weapon and armour stats, prices, monster wave scaling, lair contents, loot odds and creature variants.

Copy an example mod’s .ini files into the mods folder to enable it. Invalid mod files are skipped, with diagnostics written to mods.log.

Readable source
Moonstone is rebuilt entirely in C++, with separate modules for game rules, scenes, engine functionality and Amiga-specific runtime code. The repository includes documentation, host-testable rule modules and verification tooling.

Status and known limitations
There is no quit-to-Workbench yet; reset to exit using Ctrl-Amiga-Amiga.
The game checks the original disk version and reports missing or unsupported disks.
The packaged executable was smoke-tested in WinUAE using original ADFs placed beside it.
