  • The app is also a window. People asked for the list as a normal app: open it from Applications or the Dock, resize it, leave it open. It is the same panel, with the title bar as its header, and it opens from Settings > Open in a window as well.
  • It asks, once. The first launch after this update puts one question on screen: keep the menu bar icon, or use a window instead. Answering it is the whole setup, and it never asks again — closing it changes nothing.
  • The menu bar icon is now optional. Settings > Show in menu bar turns it off. The app then lives in its window and appears in the Dock, so it can always be reached; turning the icon off opens the window first rather than leaving the app with nowhere to be.

Install

brew install --cask Jarvis322/tap/sysdata

or open SysDataMenu-1.2.0.dmg and drag the app to Applications. The zip is the same app for anyone scripting the download. Signed and notarized. Requires macOS 14 or later.
