RetroArch
JellyEmu can act as a Buildbot Assets Server for RetroArch. This allows RetroArch's Online Updater to download content and core system files from JellyEmu.
Open the JellyEmu configuration page.
Go to the API Doc tab and find the Buildbot Assets URL.
The URL is based on the URL you use to access your Jellyfin web instance.
For example, if your Jellyfin web instance is:
http://localhost:8096
The JellyEmu Buildbot Assets URL is:
http://localhost:8096/jellyemu/retroarch/
If your Jellyfin web instance is:
http://192.168.1.100:8096
The Buildbot Assets URL would be:
http://192.168.1.100:8096/jellyemu/retroarch/
If you access Jellyfin through a domain or reverse proxy, use that URL as the base.
For example:
https://jellyfin.example.com
becomes:
https://jellyfin.example.com/jellyemu/retroarch/
Copy the Buildbot Assets URL shown in the JellyEmu API Doc tab.
Make sure the URL ends with:
/jellyemu/retroarch/
Open RetroArch and go to:
Settings → Network → Updater
Find:
Buildbot Assets URL
Replace the existing URL with your JellyEmu Buildbot Assets URL.
For example:
http://192.168.1.100:8096/jellyemu/retroarch/
Save the setting.
Go to:
Main Menu → Online Updater
The following options can now use JellyEmu's content:
- Content Downloader
- Core System Files Downloader
Download the content you need normally.
Try downloading content through RetroArch's Online Updater.
If the download completes successfully, RetroArch is using JellyEmu as its Buildbot Assets Server.
If RetroArch is running on a different device than Jellyfin, do not use localhost.
For example, this will only work when RetroArch and Jellyfin are running on the same device:
http://localhost:8096/jellyemu/retroarch/
For another device, use the address you normally use to access your Jellyfin web instance from that device.
For example:
http://192.168.1.100:8096/jellyemu/retroarch/
