Release 1.2.0: Lyrics, Audiobook rework, podcast downloads, more features, and a lot of fixes

New features:

• Lyrics are now supported. Swipe left on the cover in Now Playing to show them and swipe right to go back. Lyrics are read from a .lrc file next to the track, from the tags (FLAC, Opus, Ogg, APE, WavPack, MP3 and M4A) or from a .txt file next to the track. The swipe only works if the track has lyrics.
• Synced lyrics follow the song with the current line highlighted. Tapping a line jumps to that point of the track.
• Audiobooks are now split in Library, Series, Authors and Continue. Finished books are opened from the icon in the top bar.
• A folder of audio files is now treated as a single audiobook, with every file as a chapter. "CD 1", "Disc 2" subfolders are joined into the same book.
• Authors and series of audiobooks are read from the tags or from the folders (Audiobooks/Author/Series/Book).
• Audiobook lists can now be sorted (A-Z, Z-A, newest, oldest, recently listened, series order).
• Chapters are now read from Opus, Ogg and FLAC audiobooks.
• Added bookmarks for audiobooks. All bookmarks are in the new Bookmarks page in Audiobooks.
• Added a Summary page for audiobooks with the description from the tags.
• Podcast episodes can now be downloaded to the SD card by long pressing an episode. Downloaded episodes are in the new Downloaded page of Podcasts and can be played offline.
• Added AutoEq search inside the PEQ page. Search for your headphones and the profile is saved and applied as a PEQ preset.
• PEQ presets are now saved in the AutoEq/Equalizer APO format (.txt) in the PEQ folder of the SD card. APO and REW presets can be copied there directly.
• Tracks, albums, artists and album artists can now be sorted by date added.
• Multi select is now available in the File browser, Favourites and Playlists. Long press to enter selection mode and add to playlist, favourites or queue, or remove multiple tracks at once.
• Long pressing a track in the search results now lets you add it to favourites, queue or a playlist.
• You can now choose which folders to scan.
• Added an option to Show artist in All tracks, Albums, Genres and Favourites. Music --> Settings --> Display options --> Show artist
• Added an option to open Now Playing at startup. Music --> Settings --> Display options --> Show Now Playing at startup (needs Remember track to be enabled)
• Added Last.fm scrobbling. Music --> Settings --> Last.fm
• Gapless playback now works over Bluetooth.
• DSD files can now be played on Bluetooth headphones.
• Added a mono audio option. Music --> Settings --> Playback options --> Mono audio
• SonixLink now works over Bluetooth too.
• Buttons of USB-C headphones and dongles now control the player.
• R1: added a double click action to the buttons. Settings --> More --> Remap buttons --> Double click
• Added a Wi-Fi transfer toggle for the control centre.
• Added a second page of symbols to the Qwerty and T9 keyboards accessible by pressing Shift when symbols are shown.
• Added Japanese and Dutch languages.
• Bookerly font for ebooks is now included in the firmware.
• Added Flappy Bird to the More page.

Changes and improvements:

• Audiobook positions are now saved in the background and also when the player is turned off or the SD card is removed.
• An audiobook stopped in the last 45 seconds is now counted as finished.
• The Audiobooks folder and the Podcast folder are not included in the music scan. A music library rescan is needed to remove audiobooks already in the library.
• Music and Audiobooks pages now show a Scan button when there is no library yet.
• For compilations, the artist of the track is now shown instead of the album artist.
• Albums with the same name are now kept apart by album artist, artist or folder.
• Show artist for albums also shows the artist of a track inside an album when it is different from the album artist.
• New icons for Albums, Artists and Album artists in the Music page.
• The Alternative layout now has a bigger cover.
• R1: Now Playing controls are now evenly spaced in all layouts.
• Gapless playback is now truly gapless for AAC/M4A and WAV files.
• The first seek in long MP3 files is now instant.
• USB DAC volume now follows the same curve as the headphone jack.
• The AutoEq database can be updated from the icon in the top right corner of the search page.
• The control centre settings page has been redesigned. Settings --> More --> Control centre
• The control centre icons are now centred when there are 4 or less.
• Enable screenshots moved from Developer options to Settings --> More.
• Pop-up messages now grow to fit their text and stay longer on screen.
• The volume pop-up does not block taps on the page underneath anymore.
• The maximum text size of ebooks is now 50.
• New Korean and Thai fonts, and a dedicated font for the Japanese language.
• The screen now turns on faster after pressing the power button.
• The stock firmware data is now cleared at the first start of Sonix, fixing Bluetooth and Wi-Fi issues that needed a factory reset.
• After a kernel error the player now reboots by itself instead of freezing.

Fixes:

• Fixed Bluetooth receiver not working when connecting from a PC or phone.
• Fixed the Bluetooth receiver disconnecting when the player reconnected to the last headphones.
• Fixed Bluetooth audio dropping or the player crashing when changing between tracks with different sample rates.
• Fixed Bluetooth audio not coming back after changing the Bluetooth quality.
• Fixed silence or stutter after seeking with Bluetooth headphones.
• Fixed freezes and reboots when playing hi-res music on Bluetooth headphones.
• Fixed Bluetooth pairing failing with some devices that answered late.
• Fixed reboots with shuffle on USB DACs.
• Fixed AirPlay stuttering when the interface was busy.
• Fixed Ogg files optimised with OptiVorbis not playing.
• Fixed WAV tags in Chinese or Vietnamese showing "?". WAV and AIFF covers and tags are now read correctly. A library rescan is needed.
• Fixed long names of playlists and presets not being truncated correctly.
• Fixed Arabic text not showing correctly.
• Fixed ebooks freezing when changing the text size or opening the last chapters.
• Fixed a pop when the R3 Pro II goes to standby.
• Fixed the first track being silent after the player refused to go to standby.
• Fixed touch and buttons not working on some boots.
• Fixed lag and freezes when Log to microSD was enabled.
