Smart Staging & Untracked File Handling

We have improved the workflow for handling new files. Commmit Copilot now intelligently detects when you have no staged changes but possess untracked files, offering a seamless "Stage & Generate" option.

This enhancement ensures that you can quickly incorporate new files into your commits without breaking flow, while the extension continues to respect your manual staging choices when they exist.

Update Correct Model Names in README.md

We have updated the supported models list in the README to reflect the accurate model names:

  • Google Gemini: Added support for Gemini 2.0 Flash/Lite, Gemini 2.5 series, and Gemini 3 Preview.
  • OpenAI: Now supports o3/o4-mini generation and the upcoming GPT-5 series.
  • Anthropic: Extended integration to include Claude Opus 4.1 and 4.6.
  • Ollama: Official support for local powerhouses like Gemma 3, Llama 3, and Phi-4.
