Highlights
- Added Thin Work Briefs and material decision gates so complex work can lock scope, method, storyline, and authority-sensitive choices before expensive execution.
- Added linked decision-resolution and revision continuations, accepted-scope protection, and constraint-only fast paths so narrow corrections reuse legal evidence without repeating sync and retrieval.
- Made named local attachments first-class turn evidence with private support manifests, while keeping clean work products separate from governance metadata.
- Added optional, host-neutral Hooks for Codex/ChatGPT Work and Claude Code. Hooks inject only minimal current-turn state and may request at most one safe closure continuation; canonical workflows remain correct when Hooks are untrusted, disabled, or policy-blocked.
- Delivered true incremental knowledge-base staging, validation caching, copy-on-write publication, and incremental transcript reconciliation without weakening atomic publication or legality checks.
- Removed release-entry work from canonical ask completion. Release checks now occur only through explicit docmason update-core.
Compatibility and safety
- Preserved the public CLI, one-message-one-turn law, exact answer digest binding, trace admissibility, bounded repair, shared-job handling, and atomic current-snapshot switch.
- Kept legacy turn records and older generated bundles readable, including migration from the former canonical-ask release-entry scope.
- Strengthened distribution and repository-safety checks so private skills, planning files, corpus inputs, knowledge-base artifacts, and runtime answers cannot leak into public bundles.
Measured performance
Measured on an isolated APFS clone with 306 reusable sources and a 140,621-file, 7.74 GB logical knowledge base:
- Zero delta: 0.374 s
- Interaction-promotion-only: 0.292 s
- One dirty source, excluding that source's extraction/rendering: 19.843 s
- APFS publication: 9.317 s
Validation
- Passed repository safety and privacy checks.
- Passed Ruff and strict mypy across 47 source files.
- Passed the full suite: 568 tests, 25 subtests.
- Verified canonical adapter regeneration and Hook contracts for both supported hosts.
- Verified local and published clean/demo bundles, checksums, manifests, executable Hook wrappers, corpus boundaries, and CLI startup.
- Verified the GitHub release workflow, all four public assets, Cloudflare metadata for both channels, and bundle-local update-core checks against v0.1.8.
