Release notes

Starting with Gitnuro 2.0, any previously saved information and preferences from 1.X will be reset as storage has been reworked. Sorry for the inconveniences.

Features

  • Added option to rename a branch (does not work on current branch).
  • Support for commits and tags signing using SSH keys.
  • Support for git-credentials-manager.
  • Added option to open a file in File Explorer (from status and commit changes).
  • Status multiselection to execute tasks in multiple files at the same time.
  • Improved graph design that excels in complex projects with many branches and merges
  • Updated UI themes.
  • Current repository is shown as part of the window title.
  • Menu options are now disabled when they are not usable (example: pull and push when no remote).
  • Support for hooks in Windows without cygwin by using Git Bash
  • Option to show status to amend current commit if there are no status changes
  • Added better error messages.
  • Branches are now merged with their remote counterpart if on the same commit.
  • Rebase edit now automatically picks up the previous message instead of showing an empty commit field.

Fixes

  • Fetch feature does not prune deleted branches.- Restored load of persisted commit message
  • LFS failing to pull changes in certain providers
  • Stacktrace showing even if there is no exception
  • Monospaced font not being used in the linux build.
  • Conflicting keybindings for macOS.

Performance

  • Reduced Gitnuro memory usage for large repositories.
  • Reduced memory usage by cleaning no longer needed Git resources
  • Improved diff loading speed.
  • Directories are now observed for changes independently and following .gitignore rules instead of watching the whole repository. This will result in lower RAM usage and less chance to get a max watches error on linux.
