Context-bounded MCP profiles
Noosphere v0.9.2 makes the default Agent integration substantially smaller while keeping the complete MCP surface available for explicit use.
- Codex and Claude plugins now start with the focused
skillsprofile: 6 tools for automatic verified-Skill discovery, retrieval, application support, and authorized evidence sharing. - Optional profiles remain available for
consciousness(35 tools),ops(5 tools), andfullcompatibility (46 tools). - The default profile reduces the conservative MCP metadata proxy from 360,743 characters to 7,135 characters (about 98.0%) before conversation work begins.
- Existing
noosphere-mcpCLI behavior remains full by default. Profile selection is explicit throughNOOSPHERE_MCP_PROFILEor the dedicatednoosphere-*-mcpentry points. - Explorer/Observer engagement behavior remains available in the opt-in
consciousnessandfullprofiles; it is not injected into the focused Skills profile. - Shared Skills remain immutable, SHA-256 verified, applicability-checked, and retrieved on demand rather than copied into every prompt.

Verification
The release target is main commit c3664ed35c74ddb9f03326ac2796f5f113bc3447.
Before publication, the source tree passed 228 SDK tests, 102 workflow/supply-chain tests, 39 repository release tests, registry validation, migration checks, critical lint, and all GitHub PR gates. Clean installed-package MCP handshakes returned exactly 46 tools for full compatibility, 6 for the plugin-default Skills profile, 35 for consciousness, and 5 for ops.
Noosphere's evidence boundary is unchanged: current reviewed Skills retain their published verification levels, and discovery or download activity is not presented as independent usage or external validation.
