In one line: the settings for how to open Vector live on the System status page, and the way in is the status badge — the square with the tick — at the top of the Home screen.
How to reach System status
- Open Vector (home screen shortcut, the status notification, or the action button in Magisk / KernelSU / APatch).
- Stay on the Home page. The badge at the top shows the framework state: a tick when it is active,
! when it is degraded, × when it is not.
- Tap that badge. Screen readers announce it as Open system status.
What is on that page
- Status notification — the persistent notification showing that Vector is running. Turning it on also gives you a permanent way back into Vector.
- Stop apps hiding their launcher icons — since Android 10, an app that hides its own launcher icon gets one back that opens its app info page. Turn this off to let it stay hidden.
- How to open Vector — a card that appears when Vector is running parasitically, i.e. not installed as an app of its own. It lists the routes back in: create a home screen shortcut, turn the status notification on, or install Vector as an app. It also notes that you can dial

- Build, health and device information, any current warnings, and Copy all in the top bar for bug reports.
Both switches need a live daemon; they are dimmed when Vector is not running.
Where the rest of the settings went
There is no central settings panel any more (#855). Settings now sit next to the thing they affect — theme and language on Home, log options on the Logs page, a module's scope on that module's own page — and the few framework-wide ones are on System status.
The request
The entrance above is not discoverable: one may have looked through all four pages without finding it, and creating a shortcut or re-enabling the notification is something beginners need too, not only advanced users. So either give the settings for how to open Vector an explicit, visible entrance, or document the badge somewhere users will look.
