First public release.

AlwaysHex shows integer values in decimal and hex together while you debug, e.g. 42 (0x0000002a). No more switching "Hexadecimal Display" on and off.

Works in: data tips, Watch, Locals, Autos, Immediate and the Call Stack window, for C, C++ and C#.
Supported: Visual Studio 2022 and 2026 (Community, Professional, Enterprise), x64.

Installation

Download AlwaysHex.vsix, close Visual Studio and double-click the file.

Known limitations

  • AlwaysHex relies on undocumented debugger behavior, see the README.
