The first release of Followspot: a teleprompter that follows your voice, running in your browser against a local whisper.cpp model. Your audio never leaves your machine.

Followspot tracking a spoken script

Highlights

  • Follows you, not a timer. Rolling audio windows are transcribed locally and fuzzy-matched to your script, so misheard words, skipped sentences, and small ad-libs don't lose your place. Stop talking and it stops.
  • Pick your model. Anything from base.en to large-v3-turbo, via ./followspot download <name>.
  • Voice activity detection. ./followspot download vad and the launcher turns it on automatically: silence and room noise stop producing phantom words.
  • Built for prompter rigs. Mirror mode, a text column centered on the lens, adjustable top and bottom margins, and a reading line you can move to lens height.
  • Re-takes are one click. Click any word to jump back to it.
  • Markdown scripts with ignored header and footer sections, dimmed stage directions, and live reload when you save.
