Player's Handbook
Welcome to the Player's Handbook for Enchantment Core! This chapter is designed to help you understand how to customize your gameplay experience using the mod's built-in features and configuration options.
Enchantment Core is primarily a library mod, meaning its main purpose is to provide powerful tools for other mods and datapacks. However, it also includes several user-facing features to give you direct control over how enchantments behave in your world.
This handbook covers the following topics:
Learn about the built-in resource packs (datapacks) that ship with Enchantment Core. This section explains how to activate the "Configurable Default Enchantments" pack, which replaces standard vanilla enchantments with fully customizable versions, and details the developer test packs.
Enchantment Core utilizes Config Overhauled to provide a robust, in-game configuration menu. This section breaks down the various settings available to you, allowing you to tweak global mechanics and client-side visuals.
- General: Adjust server-side rules, such as maximum protection limits, base enchantability for items, and explosion behaviors.
- Enchantment: The dynamic hub where you can tweak the max levels, rarity weights, anvil costs, and supported items for any configured enchantment (including vanilla enchantments if the built-in datapack is active).
- Client: Customize your local visual experience, including tooltip formatting and chat alert colors.
