Version Control and gradle.properties Improved

In the previous release the Version Control system would exit if the software could not be found in the local maven repository. It transpiers that the location of the maven ~/.m2/repository is not consistent accross different Unix/Linux implementations. So instead of exiting the software if the repository cannot be found a strong warning is issued.

The gradle.build file assumes the location of a gradle.properties file. The gradle.properties file holds the gpr.user and gpr.key values for the user when accessing Github releases. This file is now assumed to be stored relative to the users home directory in a folder called .github. Yet again this may be inconsistent for some Unix-based systems.

This is an updated version with:
improved documentation,
better timing output,
reduced console output by adding a verbose parameter to invoke() which defaults to false,
has been tested on a HPC using SLURM.

The DSL has not been changed but the version must be updated to 1.0.9 in any description of an application using the DSL.

Improved timing data collection

In previous releases the host timing data was not saved in the file that saved node timing data. This is now fixed in this release

Change to Collector processing

The Collector process has been changed so that parameters can be supplied for each combination of node and collector in the Collect cluster so they can have different parameter values for each combination.
The supplied parameter lists must comprise the same number of parameter sublists as there are nodes X collectors

In previous versions one set of parameter values was supplied to each node/collector combination

The parameters are supplied to the collate and finalise methods that form the CollectInterface.

Operation confirmed on a real network

This is the first release that has been checked using an application (mandelbrot) running on a real network. Internally the means of changing software version has been improve so as to avoid problems in future.

This version has been tested on a network comprising a host node and three other nodes, using the Cluster Mandelbrot application.

testing involved creating NetHost.jar and NetNode.jar artifacts which could then be transferred to the network nodes using Remote Desktop. The nodes where NetNode is executed just needed that jar and are invoked as

java -jar NetNode.jar hostip-address

The host node required the NetHost. jar, the *.clistruct (files) and the folder containg the class defintions, copied from your IDE

so the folder mandelbrot conatined the class files Mandelbrotdata and MandelbrotCollect

the host is invoked using, for example,

java -jar NetHost.jar ./mandelbrot1n4w

The host node MUST be started first and then the other nodes.

Version 1.0.1

An update that makes it easier to invoke Host and Nodes. The DSL specification no longer requires the Host IP address to be encoded.
It does now require the version number to be included in the DSL specification.
The software has only been tested on 127.0.0.0 type networks.
The next version will be tested on real workstation clusters.

Initial verdsion only tested local networks (127.0.0.0)
