Everything after this tag is the 2026 update (see UPDATE_WORKPLAN.md and the README on the default branch). Note: the published findings remain reproducible from the data frozen here, but are not exactly replicable from fresh HFD/HFC downloads, as the source databases have since revised their historical series — see reports/validation_2026.md on the default branch for the audit.
