JAgents 0.3.9
New
- Attach files in chats. Paste, drag in, or click the paperclip to add images and other files (up to 10, 50 MB each) in Threads and Code mode. The agent gets the files themselves, and your message shows image previews and file chips.
- One picker for agent and model. Agent logos sit across the top. Click one to see its models, with search. Agents you have not installed show how to get them.
- Logos for many more agents, including Devin, Droid, Pi, Amp, Qwen Code, Goose, Grok and Junie.
Improved
- The JSystems New UI chat look is now built in. You no longer need the plugin, and the old plugin copy is moved out of the way on start.
- In Threads, the message box says "Reply…" once a new thread has its first message.
Fixed
- A JAgents window that turns blank now reloads by itself. This covers a crashed page, a crashed graphics process, a failed load, and a page that never finishes starting.
- Opening JAgents when it is already running but has no window now opens a window instead of doing nothing.
- JAgents now writes jagents.log in its data folder, so the cause of a blank window can be found if it happens again.
JAgents 0.3.8
Fixed
- Terminals keep their colors when JAgents is opened from another agent's terminal, such as Claude Code. Before, they showed plain text with no colors.
JAgents 0.3.7
Fixed
- The JAgents icon shows on the taskbar again when JAgents runs from a downloaded copy. A leftover "Electron" Start Menu shortcut was taking JAgents' place, so the taskbar button had no icon. JAgents now removes it.
- JAgents checks its taskbar icon every 30 seconds and repairs it if something breaks it again, so you don't need to restart.
JAgents 0.3.6
New
- JSystems New UI (experimental). Chats have a new look, and it's on by default. Threads use a centered column with rounded message bubbles, and tool calls show as quiet one-line rows. The message box is a rounded card with a round Send button. Chat panes in Code mode get the same look at a smaller size. To go back to the classic look, turn it off in Plugins.
- Copy buttons. Hover over a message to copy it. Code blocks show their language and have their own copy button. Both come with JSystems New UI.
- While an agent works, the "working" line counts up how long it has been going.
Improved
- The Plugins panel marks plugins that come with JAgents as "Included with JAgents" and lists them first. Plugins still being tried out are marked "Experimental".
JAgents 0.3.5
New
- Agent marketplace. Click Agents in the top bar, or Get more agents… in a chat's Agent menu or the + menu. It lists every agent in the official ACP Registry (42 today, it updates on its own) with search, logos, versions and authors.
- Install agents with one click. JAgents downloads and checks them for you, and they show up in the Agent picker and as subagents. Agents with a newer version get an Update button, and Uninstall removes their files.
- Sign in to agents from the chat. When an agent needs you to log in, the chat shows its sign-in options (for example ChatGPT or an API key for Codex). JAgents remembers your choice and sends the message that was waiting.
- Add your own agent by typing any command that speaks ACP (in the marketplace, under Add a custom ACP agent).
Fixed
- In Threads, clicking the Agent or Model button sometimes did nothing, especially after switching between threads a few times. Both menus now open on every click.
- In Code mode's Grid layout, terminals kept their old size when the grid changed shape (for example closing one of four terminals). They now resize to fit their new spot.
- The JAgents icon could go missing from the Windows taskbar after JAgents restarted. It now stays.
Improved
- Codex now uses the maintained ACP adapter (@agentclientprotocol/codex-acp). The old one is no longer updated.
- JAgents is now MIT licensed.
JAgents 0.3.4
Fixed
- The Windows taskbar shows the JAgents icon instead of the Electron icon when JAgents runs from a source folder (started with
electron .). JAgents adds a JAgents entry to the Start Menu for this, so pinning it to the taskbar keeps the JAgents icon. Copies installed with JAgents-Setup.exe already had the right icon and are not changed.
If you pinned JAgents to the taskbar before, that pin still shows the Electron icon. Unpin it, then pin the running JAgents window or the new Start Menu entry.
JAgents 0.3.3
New
- Terminals keep running when JAgents restarts. After an update or a restart, every terminal pane comes back with its screen, and the agent in it keeps working the whole time. Closing JAgents normally still closes them.
- Agents can restart JAgents themselves with the new restart_jagents tool, for example after installing an update. A Claude Code or Codex terminal that calls it keeps running and picks up where it left off.
Improved
- The colored status dots are gone from the agent list, thread list, pane headers, top bar, and Updates box, along with the status words next to them in pane headers.
The first restart from 0.3.2 into 0.3.3 still closes your terminals, because 0.3.2 does not have this yet. Restarts after that keep them.
JAgents 0.3.2
New
- Each release now includes JAgents-Setup.exe, a Windows installer you can download and run.
- New app icon: a "JA" monogram.
Improved
- In Threads, switching the agent in the composer's agent picker now hands the thread over on its own. The new agent gets the messages and tool calls so far and picks up where the last one stopped.
- The thread header is simpler. The Hand off button and the status dot and label are gone. Code mode panes still have their own hand off button.
JAgents 0.3.0
New
- The sidebar has an Updates box above Plugins. It shows your version and lets you check for, install, and restart into new releases.
- MCP hub > Legacy (development) > Import from legacy Relay brings your Relay threads, layout, plugins, and MCP setup into JAgents. Restart to finish.
Improved
- Install now downloads the update straight from this GitHub release and shows its progress.
- JAgents no longer copies Relay data on its own at startup. You choose when with the import button.
- The import finds your Relay data even when Relay was started from inside the Claude desktop app.
- Auto MCP no longer removes old relay MCP entries on its own.
Fixed
- Installing an update no longer fails when packages need to be reinstalled.
JAgents 0.2.0
New
- Relay is now JAgents. The app, window, and MCP server have the new name. Agents see the tools as
mcp__jagents__list_agentsand so on. - A Help tab next to Code and Threads explains the JAgents MCP. It shows the live tool list and which agents get it.
- The version button in the top bar shows what version you run. It checks GitHub for new releases, installs them, and restarts the app.
- MCP hub > Auto MCP keeps global installs up to date. It can also add the server to every supported agent on your computer.
- MCP hub lists every agent that gets the MCP and how it gets it.
Improved
- Chats (ACP agents and Claude Code through the Agent SDK) now always get the jagents MCP server, even when the hub switch is off.
- Devin CLI terminals now get the jagents server too.
- A global install that points at an old script shows Out of date with an Update button.
- On first start, your Relay threads, layout, and plugins are copied into JAgents. The old Relay folder is left as it was.
