Replay Buffer Pro 1.5.0 adds macOS support and rebuilds the project on the obs-plugintemplate build system with full Windows + macOS CI. There are no new features in this version, but the Windows install location has changed, please read the update note below.

What's new

  • macOS support - universal binary (Apple Silicon + Intel), distributed as a .pkg installer. Requires macOS 12.0+.
  • Clearer hotkey labels - save-clip hotkeys are now prefixed with the plugin name (e.g. Replay Buffer Pro: Save 30 Seconds) so they're easy to find in OBS → Settings → Hotkeys.

⚠️ Updating on Windows - please read

The Windows install path has changed to follow the modern OBS plugin convention:

  • Old (≤ Replay Buffer Pro 1.4.0, < OBS 31.0.0): C:\Program Files\obs-studio\obs-plugins\64bit\replay-buffer-pro.dll
  • New (≥ Replay Buffer Pro 1.5.0, ≥ OBS 31.0.0): C:\ProgramData\obs-studio\plugins\replay-buffer-pro\bin\64bit\replay-buffer-pro.dll

Before installing 1.5.0, delete the old DLL from C:\Program Files\obs-studio\obs-plugins\64bit\replay-buffer-pro.dll. If you leave it in place, OBS will load two copies of the plugin (a duplicate dock and conflicting behavior). It is recommended to delete all Replay Buffer Pro plugin files, but the DLL removal is most important.

Installation

Windows

  1. Download replay-buffer-pro-1.5.0-windows-x64.zip.
  2. Close OBS, and remove any previous install (see upgrade note above).
  3. Extract the ZIP and copy the obs-studio folder into %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\obs-studio\plugins\ (typically C:\ProgramData\obs-studio\plugins\).

macOS

  1. Download replay-buffer-pro-1.5.0-macos-universal.pkg.
  2. Close OBS and run the installer. The plugin installs to ~/Library/Application Support/obs-studio/plugins/.
