Semantic search now ships with the installer: the local language model was not included in the 0.16.0 installers (Apple Silicon Mac and Windows), which hid search by meaning. It is now bundled, so installers and updates are larger (about 330 MB more). Intel Macs have no semantic search. Settings › Semantic search now names the model (Google’s EmbeddingGemma) and links to its terms of use.
