Release list
HirePilot v2.2.3 Public Companion
HirePilot v2.2.3 is a backend-only Windows companion patch. The Chrome Web
Store extension remains at v2.2.2 and is fully compatible.
Install the Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store.
Changes:
- Requires concise two-line resume judge responses and prevents deliberation-style output.
- Uses a 256-token judge response ceiling.
- Tries one request-scoped fallback provider when a judge response is empty or malformed.
- Keeps that fallback inside the existing 20-second budget without creating a provider cooldown.
- Records transport success, output rejection, and fallback order in timing diagnostics.
- Separates Windows companion and Chrome extension versioning so backend-only patches do not require a Web Store update.
Release validation:
- 296 backend tests passed; 1 skipped.
- 40 installer, updater, tray, and Web Store packaging tests passed.
- 17/17 disposable Windows clean-room checks passed.
- Frozen backend reported v2.2.3 with API version 1.
- Bundled Chromium rendered a PDF without downloading a browser.
- WinGet manifests validate against the exact installer SHA256.
This is an unsigned free-project build and may trigger Windows SmartScreen.
Download only from this official repository and verify the included SHA256
sidecar.

HirePilot v2.2.2 Public Companion
HirePilot v2.2.2 separates the public Windows companion from Chrome extension distribution.
Install the Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store.
The public companion includes the local backend, setup console, tray controls, updater, hirepilot://start launcher, and bundled Chromium PDF runtime. Install the Chrome extension separately through the Chrome Web Store.
This build also hardens first-run setup:
- PDF and DOCX resumes automatically produce the required text source.
- Scanned or image-only PDFs request a separate plain-text copy.
- Setup requires at least one configured Gemini, Groq, Cerebras, OpenRouter, or local provider before reporting completion.
Release validation:
- 294 backend tests passed; 1 skipped.
- 17/17 disposable Windows clean-room checks passed.
- WinGet manifests validate against the exact installer SHA256.
- The Chrome Web Store ZIP is deterministic and contains only the MV3 extension.
This is an unsigned free-project build and may trigger Windows SmartScreen. Download only from this official repository and verify the included SHA256 sidecar.
