v1.4.1
1.4.1 (2026-10-07)
Added
- GrilledCheese downloads are available through the provider selection and download flow.
Fixed
- Amazon downloads retry the available regional servers when the requested region fails.
- Qobuz and Amazon use Lucida's current provider regions.
- A failed track-number metadata write preserves the original downloaded file.
- Downloaded tracks carrying a composite embedded track number (
6/12) now have it
rewritten to the bare number (6) after placement, so players and devices show a
clean position. Already-bare numbers are left untouched.

- Downloads now use bounded retries for temporary service failures and reject incomplete response bodies.
- The TUI now presents playlist actions explicitly;
lucida doctorchecks the music destination and recovery state, whilelucida cleanupremoves stale state and old partial files.

lucidadl v1.0.0
First stable release 🎉 — feature-complete and validated end to end.
A fast, parallel CLI (+ interactive TUI) for downloading music via lucida.to: tracks, albums and playlists from Qobuz and Amazon Music in lossless FLAC (or transcoded to MP3/AAC/Opus), organized into Artists/<Artist>/<Album>/.
- Parallel downloads over HTTP (no browser kept open), existence-aware dedup, service fallback, retry.
- Apple Music playlist import (numbered, in order), interactive menu (
lucida ui) with live progress bars. - Robust resolution (finds niche / multi-artist tracks), clean filenames.
Install: pipx install lucidadl · or pip install lucidadl
lucidadl v0.1.1
Added
- Playlist tracks are numbered (
NN - Title) so they keep the playlist order.
Changed
- Filenames drop the redundant artist prefix (
Title.ext) — tracks are already inArtists/<Artist>/<Album>/. - Cleaner playlist output (a table for
--dry-run, a header + progress bars for a download).
Fixed
- Find niche / multi-artist tracks: when the literal
"Artist - Title"query returns nothing, retry with the title alone (and primary-artist + title), verifying the artist so a broadened search can't grab the wrong song. - Playlist dedup scoped to the playlist folder: a track already in
Artists/is still fetched into a playlist that's missing it, with no duplicate re-downloads.
Install: pipx install git+https://github.com/Jude-A/lucidadl (PyPI coming).
