Fluxgate Core v0.1.0-rc.1

First public release candidate — for evaluation, not a stable release.

Fluxgate Core is an independently maintained, compatibility-first derivative
of the MetaCubeX proxy core. This is an early incremental refactor, not a
completed rewrite. Existing protocol implementations are largely inherited.

Included changes

• Configuration loading, rule parsing and nameserver parsing compatibility
  boundaries with regression coverage.
• A standalone DNS parser that no longer requires application configuration
  initialization, including local UDP/TCP resolution coverage.
• Independent fluxgate executable, package, systemd service and default
  configuration paths.
• Fluxgate-only stable self-update with version-pinned archives and SHA-256
  verification; this prerelease is installed manually and is not offered by
  stable automatic updates.

Choosing a download

• Most Linux x86-64 machines: fluxgate-linux-amd64-v1-v0.1.0-rc.1.gz.
• Debian/Ubuntu x86-64: fluxgate-linux-amd64-v1-v0.1.0-rc.1.deb.
• Windows x86-64: fluxgate-windows-amd64-v1-v0.1.0-rc.1.zip.
• macOS Apple Silicon: fluxgate-darwin-arm64-v0.1.0-rc.1.gz.
• Linux ARM64: fluxgate-linux-arm64-v0.1.0-rc.1.gz.

Use the v1 x86-64 builds for conservative CPU compatibility. The amd64
build without an explicit level uses v3. Toolchain-suffixed builds and
LoongArch ABI variants target particular platform compatibility needs.
toolchain.tar.gz and vendor.tar.gz are build inputs, not installable binaries.

Download checksums.txt and verify the selected file before using it. For
example, with the Linux amd64-v1 gzip and manifest in the same directory:

SHA-256 checks integrity against the published manifest; it is not a separate
cryptographic publisher signature.

Installation and coexistence

• Package name/program: fluxgate (fluxgate.exe on Windows).
• Default user configuration: ~/.config/fluxgate/config.yaml.
• Linux packages: /usr/bin/fluxgate, /etc/fluxgate/config.yaml,
  fluxgate.service.
• Instance units: fluxgate@NAME.service use /etc/fluxgate/NAME/config.yaml.
• No automatic migration from Mihomo, executable alias or service auto-start.

Review configuration before starting the service. If running alongside another
core, choose distinct proxy/controller/DNS ports and non-conflicting TUN
devices/routes; the sample mixed port is still 7890. Existing explicit
-d/-f options and CLASH_ configuration variables remain available.

Limits and provenance

TUN/platform integrations, sustained real-world operation, native package
installation and every protocol combination have not all been exhaustively
validated. Nix remains an unverified inherited installation path. This release
does not publish a Docker image. Back up configurations before trying it.

The source tag records the build revision. The project retains upstream history,
attribution and GPL licensing; see LICENSE and NOTICE in the repository.
The inherited CI refreshes the bundled CA certificates before compilation, so
the binary reports vcs.modified=true; byte-for-byte reproducibility is not
claimed for this release.

Publication verification

All 128 expected release assets are present. The 127 entries in checksums.txt
match GitHub's asset digests. Downloaded Linux amd64-v1 gzip/DEB and Windows
amd64-v1 ZIP files were independently hashed; the Linux executable reports the
release version and successfully parses the packaged sample configuration.
The Debian payload uses only the independent Fluxgate installation paths and
contains no service-starting maintainer scripts. This is not a full installation
or long-running workload test.
