Possible bug - "Theres nothing to farm on this account!"

I set up everything correctly, kept the options default but im running into the problem of it saying "Theres nothing to farm on this account!" and then it shut itself down.
I have family sharing on but it but i assume it shouldn't conflict with it... nor do i think my steam account setting have anything to do with it...
I've read previous help posts on Steam forums but i couldnt get it to run :/
Anyway i'd appreciate any help because i've been trying to wrestle with it for a day now..
