Meta-Architect v0.15.2

Summary

This release ships Meta-Architect as a Codex-native skills system with:

  • canonical install npm i -g @openai/codex@latest @jstn-sdk/ma@latest
  • optional helper launch ma --madmax --high
  • a singular in-session umbrella surface at $maestro
  • a bounded autonomous manager control plane for $maestro
  • a publishable non-gating helper family: $align, $diagnose, $tdd, $cleanup
  • semantic core runtime artifacts for Obsidian, Ralph execution, context economy, prompt strategy, active autonomy, learning loops, environment awareness, and universal plugin brokering
  • native packaged playbooks and reference packs through mcp/native-playbooks.json, mcp/local/playbooks.js, and docs/reference/
  • a usage-workflow-driven gated path starting with the structured $arch prompt
  • helper commands for setup, scripted validation, and branch/release gating
  • durable autonomous task intake for single, bulk, file, YAML, JSON, and stdin workloads with dependency-aware execution and receipts
  • pre-launch host discovery and MA_AGENT target selection for Codex, OpenCode, Gemini CLI, Amp, Claude Code, Goose, Hermes, Pi, Cursor, Windsurf, Cline, Continue, Roo, Kiro CLI, Junie, GitHub Copilot, and Antigravity
  • copy-ready AI-agent installation prompt plus linked package manifests and coverage evidence in the README
  • zero-dependency Maestro output rendering for terminal lane status
  • a real-provider live regression workflow covering setup, doctor, Jev-backed $maestro, autonomous source mutation, verification receipts, and cleanup
  • redacted release evidence at docs/qa/live-regression-0.15.2.json
  • package, skill bundle, and release surfaces aligned to v0.15.2
  • all six open CodeQL findings resolved, including polynomial-regex denial-of-service paths and incomplete installer URL host validation
  • GitHub CodeQL Action upgraded from v3 to v4 through Dependabot PR #129
  • manually dispatched release validation fixed to verify the explicitly selected tag

Target package state:

  • npm package: @jstn-sdk/ma@0.15.2
  • npm registry state: verified by the release publication workflow, not asserted by this source file
  • publishability note: 0.15.1 is already published, so 0.15.2 is the next publishable package line
  • release tag: v0.15.2
  • GitHub release state: verified by the release workflow, not asserted by this source file

Verification

  • npm run release:check
  • CodeQL findings reviewed and remediated for the release commit
  • Dependabot CodeQL Action v4 update included in the release commit
  • npm run linux:packages:build
  • npm run linux:packages:smoke
  • npm run release:assets
  • npm run release:assets:generate followed by npm run release:assets publishes and verifies SHA256SUMS, an SPDX SBOM, and release-summary.json alongside every asset.
  • npm run live:regression -- --output docs/qa/live-regression-0.15.2.json with TYPESAFE_API_KEY validates the real provider and mutation boundary before the release job publishes assets.
  • Release binaries are generated in CI and published to the GitHub Release; dist/ is intentionally not tracked, so stale versioned files cannot accumulate in Git.
  • npm publish --dry-run --access public --ignore-scripts
  • installed-package setup and launch smoke
  • autonomous manager and helper/gated regression coverage through npm test

Operational bar

This release is only considered real if:

  • @jstn-sdk/ma@latest installs cleanly
  • ma --madmax --high delegates into Codex as expected
  • ma setup creates the documented .ma runtime surfaces
  • $maestro remains the only umbrella surface
  • helper skills stay non-gating and Meta-Architect-owned
  • the gated workflow remains coherent from $arch to $build
  • native playbooks and support-bundle references load correctly
  • release docs, changelog, package metadata, and workflows all remain aligned to v0.15.2
  • every v0.15.2 issue in docs/qa/release-issue-gates-0.15.2.json is marked passed with implementation, verification, and production evidence
  • the live regression evidence records a real Jev decision, completed source mutation, passing verification, completed execution receipt, and zero disallowed files

Current release-readiness state:

  • docs/qa/release-issue-gates-0.15.2.json records all tracked v0.15.2 issues as passed with implementation, verification, production proof, and labels
  • local release gates passed before publish and must remain green for any follow-up PR
  • npm and GitHub publication: verify with the release workflow and registry/release checks after publishing
