The purple puppet icon from the website now appears throughout the app: in the editor, welcome screen, loading screen and window icon. The version label also updates with each build.

This update includes the MIT license in the Windows packages. Your existing .puppet projects still work; the project format and animation tools haven't changed.

Downloads: use the installer for a normal setup, or choose the portable version to run without installing. The support archive has example characters and offline guides. SHA256 checksums are included.

These builds are unsigned, so Windows may show a trust or SmartScreen warning. RC 2 is still a test version; clean Windows 11 and independent artist testing are pending.

@JustyPixels JustyPixels released this 05 Oct 21:52
01ecce8

Fio Motion 1.0.0-rc.1 is a fully unlocked public test candidate for offline 2D character animation on Windows 11 x64.

Unsigned build, as authorized by the publisher. Windows may display trust or SmartScreen warnings.

Visual artwork connections, humanoid rig assistant, shared skeletons, smooth animation, timeline keyframe tools, persistent layouts and seven UI languages are included. Existing .puppet projects remain supported.

Download the installer or portable executable. The support archive contains examples, offline guides, compatibility notes, dependency notices and current verification reports. Check downloads against SHA256SUMS.

Verified: 42 TypeScript unit tests, 3 Rust tests, 49 browser tests, packaged migration/save/reopen/preview-export checks, eight close/crash recovery checks and portable startup. Production exports passed: 43,200 frames at 1080p and 1,440 at 4K; audio cue error ≤10 ms. The 60-shot/100,000-key production uses one second of bends followed by a held pose in each 30-second shot; render timings do not measure continuous movement throughout 30 minutes.

Pending: clean Windows 11 installation and DPI, reference hardware, independent artist/usability, language and brand reviews. The complete editor measured about 18 fps at 1080p on the available Xeon E5-2667 v4 / 16 GB / GTX 1060 host in development mode; the 30 fps target is not certified. Some diagnostics use English fallback. Shared skeleton structural edits are managed by the assistant.

This is a prerelease for testing, not qualified stable 1.0.0. Please report reproducible problems in this repository.
