KinterCut v1.0.0 – The Ultimate Analytics and Time-Controlled Link Shortener

This is the first stable release of KinterCut, our custom-built, high-performance link shortening system. It is powered by a Golang (Go) Backend API and a React (Frontend SPA) built on PostgreSQL for robust data handling.

KinterCut is specifically designed for the go.kinter.one domain, providing blazing-fast redirects alongside powerful tracking and administrative link management capabilities.

Key Features in v1.0.0:

  • Custom Time-To-Live (TTL) Logic:
    • Links created by the Admin (when logged in) never expire.
    • Links created by public/unauthenticated users expire after exactly 48 hours, ensuring database cleanliness and security. Expired links redirect to a dedicated 'Link Expired' page.
  • Advanced Admin Analytics:
    • Dedicated statistics dashboard accessible only to the administrator.
    • Tracks and records the IP Address, User Agent, and Timestamp for every single click.
    • Total click count and country/region tracking (requires GeoIP API configuration).
  • Modern and Performant Architecture: Fast and efficient API written in Golang integrated with a dynamic React user interface styled with Tailwind CSS.
  • Security: Secure session management using JWT (JSON Web Tokens) for administrator authentication.

Deployment Instructions:

Full deployment is managed via a single Docker Compose file, orchestrating three services: the Go API, the React Web Client, and the PostgreSQL database. Please refer to the README.md for initial setup and configuration of environment variables (.env).
