group-chat:
enabled: trueGroup chat uses its own persistent store and is independent from 1:1 DMs.
Depending on permissions and room state, users can:
- Create public or private rooms
- Set an optional room password
- Invite known players
- Accept or decline invitations
- Leave or hide rooms
- Restore hidden rooms
- Edit room settings
- Kick or ban members
- Unban members
- Transfer room ownership
- Send retained room messages
Public rooms appear in the room list. Private rooms are invite-only. Passwords are stored as PBKDF2 hashes rather than plain text.
Default storage file:
plugins/BlueMapWebChat/group-messages.db
group-chat.retention-days: 0 means no time-based expiry. group-chat.max-messages-per-room: 0 disables count-based cleanup.
The current 4.6.1 implementation is primarily web-first. Consult the live Default Config and current plugin commands rather than assuming every room-management action is available from Minecraft chat.
