Release list
3.2.0
This app is now called Relarm.
This release contains many QOL features and bug fixes business as usual such as:
- Now when creating an alarm or setting duration of it will show when that alarm will ring. nice handy feature if you ask me.
- In bottom bar now "Next alarm:" shows when is next alarm going to ring unlike previously it was just showing countdown
- Alarm ringing notification now shows alarm name before it was just static text
- Added settings: GitHub repo link, release page link, copy button next to debugging option and version of the app at the bottom.
- Now you can't create an alarm with 0:00 time because it was causing problems
- Alarm card UI buttons work properly now
- Notification description has be revamped
Bugfixes:
- Full screen alarm activity has this problem that if alarm is ringing and you dismiss alarm using notification the full screen activity doesn't go away. And if you now press dismiss button in Fullscreen activity it would skip one alarm.
- The bottom Bar was being grey for no reason. Fixing this was headache inducing as I couldn't figure out Why it was happening, I had to remove the entire grey state to get a workaround.
Now I also understand why some developers don't write change logs. It's kinda more annoying.
V3.1.1
This release contain many quality of life changes:
- In full screen alarm page that shows when your device is asleep added Dismiss & open app button. this is quite useful for me.
- Revamped duration picker wheel.
- Merged Duration selection/Edit name popup into one unified popup that appears when creating or editing an alarm.
- Added a full-screen notification permission popup that appears if the permission isn’t enabled.
Since newer versions of Android really hate apps having full screen notification permission enabled I thought constantly visiting the permission page would be annoying. So there’s now a separate popup that takes you directly to the full-screen notification settings. - App doesn't flash bangs you anymore.
But Parth wasn’t this change already in the last update? you may ask. Well, yes it was, but this time it’s my final_final.psd-tier fix. And it actually works now. - Debugging log is now turned off by default.
Fixed: Components in Full screen alarm page overlapping with each other
Anyways. I don't have any future updates planned in mind. I do have list of things i would like to see in the future but I don't think they are going to be implemented anytime soon™
V3.0.0
Note: you can pause alarms though the bottom bar or notifications. A specific pause button in alarm card is broken and i don't have any plans for fixing it anytime soon™. why you may ask? because backend is very shy and blushly any changes would cause it to panic thus hours of refactoring required. I mean man it works. it does what it should stop looking at me with those eyes okay?
- Single alarm mode. now you can use this as a normal timer too. not just chained sequences
UI overhaul.
This is like 5th revision of app's UI since the origin and i feel like i can still improve it further.
-
The better alarm cards. inspired by BlackyHawky's clock app
It has this big circular timer and that was causing some lag. that led me to refactor most of the underlaying logic on the homescreen which was headache inducing. had to refactor hold to drag up and down too thing because of it🙂. -
App doesn't flashbang you anymore with white splash screen in dark mode.
-
Overall UI is much more prettier.
-
A permissions page added for uh permissions?
-
New full notification for ringing alarms.
-
UI is better and i would like to mention UI again because it actually has a lot of changes.
Last time i mentioned i'm thinking about a feature that is notes now when i think about it meh. i think it's not needed. I'm probably not going to release more updates anytime soon unless i find a bug. because i'm tired. not quitting project tho. i"ve many things planned for the future.
Edit: future parth speaking. as you see there was a critical bug. alarms were not triggering if you close app. It's fixed now!
V2.2.0
- Now you can hold alarm and drag it up or down to move it. it's not perfect but https://youtu.be/y9r_pZL4boE?si=xiTuyOT7SavL7lRE
- Added a debugging log system.
Used that same debugging feature to:
- Fix the alarms going off randomly or not canceling. essentially making it a perfect™ daily driver Lets goo!
Well dragging is buggy and app is not good for stand alone timers. in next update i'll be doing overhauling the GUI and fix more internal states.
Edit: it had major bugs such as you can't pause alarms after app is closed but ti's going to be fixed in my recent release.
Edit 2: future parth speaking i found critcal bug.
V2.1.0
- Time picker bug fixed
Many smol UI changes such as:
- Removed extra label.
- Default alarm time setting improvement.
- No menu. the move up, move down and delete button are now outside.
- Stop button color change. I know a very big change indeed.
for next update I'm thinking to integrate a note system. notes will appear after dimissing an alarm and unless note is dismissed next alarm won't start. i'm not sure but to me it feels like a better alternative to snooze button. also notes can run with existing alarms side by side? eh i'm simply not sure.
V2.0.0
Better and improved™ UI. I forgot most the changes i made tho
- Warning banner is now well a banner. not a card. Woooo!
- Titles/everything™ are now more Material 3 native.
- Pretty much that's it.
Ah yes that's it. that was the big 2.0 release with a huge list of changes. You're welcome.
V1.4.0
Added Autostart banner
Stop button wasn't working now fixed.
Settings added:
- Clear all data
- Set new alarm default time
- Open Autostart settings page
V1.3.0
Better time counting logic no more high battery consumption!
Added a setting to hide the counting notification.
Many quality of life & UI changes:
- "Start Chain Sequence" button fill entire bottom bar
- When you press back in settings page app won't close and you'll be redirect to the main page.
- Refactor settings screen with better options UI.
- Removed a dumb icon from pause button in progress bar
- Changed clone icon.
You're welcome.
It still has a problem if you've Xiaomi phone or any phone which has aggressive battery optimization app might stop when you clear it from recent in which case alarms won't work. Nice!
v1.1.0
As it turns out the initial release had a CRITICAL bug. now fixed. it was that dismiss notification being itself dismiss-able causing to create a annoying situation where you can't dismiss alarm without going into app. or straight up alarm dismiss notification wasn't being shown whatever it's fixed and my head hurts. if you're reading this I hope you have a good day, because I certainly didn't.
V1.2.0
Settings page added
has Dark, Light, Auto theme mode
has Close app after sequence starts toggle
Added toggle to hide "stop sequence" button in the notifcation
Now you can use custom sounds for alarms.
If you find any grammer mistake or typing error please ignore I'm half asleep and i don't have any respect for this language.
