The first release of the PlayStation 5 HD Camera (CFI-ZEY1) driver for PC.

Windows 11

  • The camera works in every program as a regular webcam, "PS5 Camera": native 1920x1080 at 60 fps (optionally also 720p and 30 fps).
  • Bokeh from real depth: the camera's two sensors form a stereo pair, the graphics card computes depth (census + SGM in Direct3D 11, no neural networks) and blurs the background. Autofocus stays on the person.
  • The effect runs inside the camera itself (a Windows Device MFT): no kernel driver, no test mode; works in Media Foundation, WinRT and DirectShow.
  • Install: Install.cmd from PS5CameraDriver.zip (it asks for the mode — with or without bokeh — and lists what it will change). Uninstall: Uninstall.cmd or Settings → Apps.

Linux and macOS

A camera without bokeh, native 1920x1080 at 30 and 60 fps: sudo bash install.sh from PS5CameraDriver-linux.zip or PS5CameraDriver-macos.zip.

Notes

  • A USB 3 port is required.
  • Sony's firmware is not included: the installer downloads the original from public copies, checks its SHA-256 and applies 90 bytes of changes.
  • The files of this release are not digitally signed yet (signing through SignPath Foundation is being set up). If Windows warns about files from the internet, tick "Unblock" in the archive's properties before extracting.
  • Code signing policy: free code signing provided by SignPath.io, certificate by SignPath Foundation.

  • Камера видна во всех программах как обычная веб-камера «PS5 Camera»: родные 1920x1080 при 60 к/с (по желанию также 720p и 30 к/с).
  • Боке по настоящей глубине: два сенсора камеры дают стереопару, видеокарта считает глубину (census + SGM в Direct3D 11, без нейросетей) и размывает фон. Автофокус держит человека.
  • Эффект работает внутри самой камеры (Windows Device MFT): без драйвера ядра и тестового режима, в Media Foundation, WinRT и DirectShow.
  • Установка: Install.cmd из PS5CameraDriver.zip (спросит режим — с боке или без — и перечислит, что изменит в системе). Удаление: Uninstall.cmd или «Параметры → Приложения».

Linux и macOS — камера без боке, родные 1920x1080 при 30 и 60 к/с: sudo bash install.sh из PS5CameraDriver-linux.zip или PS5CameraDriver-macos.zip.

Важно

  • Нужен порт USB 3.
  • Прошивка Sony в пакет не входит: установщик скачивает оригинал из публичных копий, проверяет SHA-256 и накладывает 90 байт изменений.
  • Файлы этого выпуска ещё без цифровой подписи (подпись через SignPath Foundation подключается). Если Windows предупреждает о файлах из интернета, перед распаковкой отметьте «Разблокировать» в свойствах архива.
  • Code signing policy: бесплатная подпись — SignPath.io, сертификат — SignPath Foundation.
