v0.1.0
The first release of Daylily: one page a day, written by you, kept by you, grown into a garden.
Daylily is early. It works, it keeps your words safe, and it will keep changing quickly.
What's in it
- Today's page. It opens on "How was your day?" with the cursor ready. A title, a cover from the gallery or your own photo, and a calm markdown editor that saves as you write.
- Ghost prompts. Pause, and a quiet question appears at the end of the line. It's never inserted, and it's gone the moment you type.
- Days seal at 4am. When the day ends, its page is sealed and read-only, like ink on paper. A day written without a cover gets one from the gallery.
- Your files, in plain markdown. One folder per day in a journal folder you choose (
~/Daylilyby default). Edit them in any app; Daylily notices, and quietly marks a sealed day that changed. - Calendar and garden. A month of covers and titles, and a year of flowers, one for each day you wrote. Save the garden as an image to share.
- An evening reminder. "How was your day?" at the time you choose, skipped when you've already written. While it's on, Daylily waits in the tray when its window is closed.
- Light and dark, following your system if you like.
