simple_git_cicd v0.1.0 — First Release 🎉
I'm excited to announce the initial release of simple_git_cicd, a minimal, fast, and easily-configurable CI/CD webhook runner designed for individual developers and small self-hosted projects.
✨ Features
- Just trigger by
git push: Receives GitHub webhooks and automatically runs your custom scripts on your server. - Simple config: Define any number of projects, match by repo and branch, and run whatever build/redeploy command you want. All in a single
TOMLfile. - Branch-specific scripting: Use per-branch scripts if you need, or a sensible default for all others.
- Runs any executable: Bash, Python, Node.js, Cargo, custom binaries… as long as your system can run it.
- Webhook secrets: (Optional) Secure GitHub webhook reception with HMAC validation per project.
- Axum-based web server: Lightweight, secure, and performance-minded Rust.
- Safe for resource-limited servers: Only one job runs at a time (mutex/lock), preventing overload.
- Great for: Docker rebuilds, static site redeploys, side-projects, home servers, and more.
📦 Pre-built Binaries
- Linux x86_64 (AMD64)
- MacOS ARM64 (M-Series / Aarch64)
Or build from source with Rust:
cargo build --release
