Kamra now runs short-term rentals

Hotels stay exactly as they were. Flip a property to Short Term Rental and the same open-source PMS becomes a villa portfolio: several sites, room-wise or whole-house selling, and a guest catalog that looks like a listing site.

This is the headline of the 2.5 release train. It ships on nightly now and will cut as the next stable release.

What's new

• Property kind: Short Term Rental — setup wizard or Settings; hotels keep the classic front-desk flow
• Multi-villa booking engine — catalog of sites, per-villa maps/addresses, book a room or the whole place
• Sellable inventory units — room / whole-place / package, with competition groups so booking the villa takes its rooms off sale
• Guest search that looks like a booking site — check-in and check-out dates (not a nights spinner), adults/children, and Check availability
• STR money rules — cleaning fees and refundable security deposits; instant book or request-to-book

• Copilot works with current OpenAI models (gpt-5.6-luna / terra / sol) when tools are enabled
• Public phone numbers: a 10-digit Indian mobile starting with 91 is no longer mis-parsed
• Public booking resolves the tenant's property instead of a hardcoded demo name
