KJDraw 1.0.0-rc.2 — Release Candidate

Release candidate for the KJDraw 1.0 editor and developer experience. Candidate packages use npm's next channel; stable packages use latest.

This update makes KJDraw easier to embed, explore and extend. It builds on 1.0.0-rc.1 with a public editor API, framework components, a reorganized documentation site and original industry drawings.

Editor and frameworks

  • createKJDrawEditor mounts the editor and exposes file open/save, commands, selection, history, appearance and lifecycle events.
  • /react and /vue provide KJDraw components with real framework types. Appearance updates preserve the active drawing.
  • /core, /files, /agent and /plugins organize application-facing entry points. Existing low-level exports remain available.
  • /renderer/canvas provides shared Canvas rendering, navigation, selection and scene-provider integration.

Drawings and workbench

  • /samples contains original site, architectural, road-profile and mechanical drawings. Each can be loaded into an embedded editor, edited and exported.
  • The demo opens a complete sheet, adds a five-drawing sample library and separates the left layer panel from the right Properties/Agent tabs.
  • Input fields no longer trigger destructive canvas keyboard shortcuts.
  • Shared-SDK editors keep command targets and document lifetimes separate, and disposing an editor cancels a pending save before it can trigger a download.
  • Repeated sample creation preserves existing drawings; architectural sample geometry uses the dimensions shown by its annotations.

Documentation

  • Task-oriented bilingual guides cover installation, files, commands, frameworks, plugins and Agent integration.
  • The main API page explains editor options, methods and events; generated low-level declarations move into a separate reference.
  • README examples use the public editor and framework components.

Release infrastructure

The first candidate passed the Node 22/24 matrix on Windows, macOS and Linux, Rust tests, the Chromium/Firefox/WebKit launch journey, and GitHub Pages deployment. Its independent DXF job stopped before executing because setup-python pip caching requires a dependency file to hash. This candidate adds the pinned scripts/audits/requirements-dxf.txt, binds the cache to that file, and installs the same ezdxf==1.4.4 pin from it. No CAD compatibility assertion was weakened.

It also prevents release tags from launching a duplicate CI matrix: the branch run remains the immutable release gate, and the annotated tag points at that exact commit.

Packed-package checks install the real React/Vue dependency graph from the lockfile, so clean runners do not depend on a developer's warm npm metadata cache.

scripts/audits/verify-live-site.mjs checks deployed assets against the local release checkout and exercises the workbench and documentation on their public URLs.

Use the npm package page to check available versions, or test this candidate from its repository checkout. The README links to the installation guide and examples.

Stable promotion still requires the hosted DXF job, live candidate verification, npm provenance, GitHub release assets, SBOM, checksums and artifact attestation to pass for this exact candidate.

KJDraw 0.7.2-preview.1

This release makes the public experience feel like an embeddable CAD product rather than a project landing page.

Highlights

  • A full-height, familiar CAD workbench is now the default live demo.
  • The UI selects Chinese or English from the browser and offers a persistent language switch.
  • React and Vue developers get complete state/lifecycle integration examples.
  • Tagged GitHub releases receive the exact npm package artifact.

Verification

  • 93 automated repository tests pass.
  • Real-browser QA covers both languages, desktop/mobile layouts, drawing, selection, editing, Agent review, DXF and KJP workflows.
  • The package remains dependency-free at runtime and passes a clean npm consumer install.

KJDraw 0.7.0-preview.1

AI agents now receive a review boundary enforced by the SDK, plus a package path designed for one-command adoption.

Agent protocol

  • Register AI proposals against exact command arguments, document identity, revision and fingerprint.
  • Require reviewer identity and reject argument substitution or stale document state.
  • Enforce host-controlled expiry, rejection and one-shot consumption; replay fails closed.
  • Return the immutable binding record in the plan receipt and expose a short digest in the workbench.
  • Keep transactional execution receipts and undo after confirmation.

Developer onboarding

  • Added a publishable @kanjie/kjdraw-sdk layout with no runtime dependencies.
  • Added a packaged self-import quickstart that creates, edits and reopens real geometry.
  • Added a manual npm workflow that verifies tests, generated ESM, exact release tag, package contents and provenance before publishing previews under next.
  • Documented that the first npm registry publication still requires @kanjie scope permission and an npm Actions token.

Verification

  • 93 public automated tests pass, including plan tampering, drift, expiry, replay and packaged quickstart workflows.
  • 2 TypeScript-owned modules reproduce committed ESM exactly.
  • 7/7 DXF fixtures, release checks, static build and real Chrome workbench QA pass.

The binding protects a single SDK host process. It does not replace host authentication, permissions, distributed authorization, model isolation or cryptographic signing across trust boundaries.

KJDraw 0.5.0-preview.1

DXF compatibility claims now have a reproducible public evidence trail.

Added

  • Seven original ASCII DXF fixtures spanning every declared R14, 2000, 2004, 2010, 2013, 2018 and 2024 target label.
  • A dependency-free audit command that records fixture hashes, detected source family, written header code, entity/resource counts and semantic round-trip findings.
  • Stable-handle and geometry/text/resource-reference comparison while allowing importer-generated internal object IDs to change.
  • A dedicated CI gate, test and public compatibility page.
  • Aligned repository, SDK package and runtime-reported version metadata.

Verification

  • 7/7 declared-version synthetic fixtures pass read, validation, target write, reopen and semantic preservation checks.
  • 88 public automated tests pass across SDK, files, projects, deployment, WASM and samples.
  • Repository release checks and the standalone static build pass.

This corpus proves the exact public ASCII DXF core subset. It does not certify arbitrary CAD files, other CAD applications, binary DXF, DWG, complete plotting resources or font fidelity.

KJDraw 0.3.0-preview.1

A usable local-first CAD workbench, not only an SDK showcase.

This preview turns the public playground into a product-shaped reference application. Download the repository and run node scripts/serve.mjs, or use the continuously deployed GitHub Pages demo.

Workbench

  • Open or drag-and-drop DXF, KJD and KJP files entirely in the browser.
  • Draw lines, polylines, circles, arcs and text.
  • Move, copy, rotate, offset and erase selected geometry.
  • Measure distance, entity length and area.
  • Create and toggle layers, inspect objects and edit common properties.
  • Run common operations from the command bar.
  • Save lossless KJP projects and export the supported ASCII DXF subset.
  • Preview and explicitly confirm an agent-origin command.

Rendering

The reference canvas now covers common 2D lines, rays, circles, arcs, text, polylines, ellipses, splines, hatches, leaders, dimensions, solid/trace outlines, viewports and tables. Unsupported or lossy cases remain preserved in KJP and are reported instead of silently discarded.

Developer experience

  • TypeScript declarations for the principal SDK, document, project, command and error APIs.
  • TypeScript authoring entry and strict incremental migration configuration.
  • Existing browser and Node.js ESM imports remain compatible.
  • GitHub Pages deploys automatically from verified main changes.

Verification

  • 85 SDK, WASM, file, TypeScript contract and sample tests passed locally.
  • Browser QA passed real KJP/DXF reopen; line/polyline/circle/arc/text creation; command move; measurement; delete; agent plan/confirm/undo; and 1366/768/390 responsive layouts.
  • No external request or page error occurred in the tested browser workflows.

This remains a developer preview. DWG, complete DXF fidelity, certified plotting and general BRep are not claimed.
