fleetsh v0.1.0-beta.1
This beta adds fifteen unit-test functions covering SSH config parsing, port validation, terminal input and cancellation, readable errors, completion, download directory names, monitoring tables, exit-code precedence and read-only host-key checks.
Two fixes accompany the tests:
- OpenSSH imports reject ports outside 1–65535 instead of treating Port 0 as the default.
- Read-only host-key checks cannot call a trust callback or append an unknown key.
The English, Japanese and Chinese documentation now lists current commands and limitations directly. Old product proposals, repeated goals and stale alpha labels were removed.
Validation: full Go tests and go vet, npm launcher tests, plus the repository's required multi-platform CI before publication.
fleetsh v0.1.0-alpha.7
Guided setup and everyday fleet operations now share the existing inventory, SSH trust, proxy and credential handling.
add HOSTprompts for missing fields in a terminal;edit HOSTopens a menu, including replacement of the locally saved SSH password. Scripted and JSON calls retain explicit options. Successful changes identify the host.doctor HOSTexplains configuration, route, login preparation, host-key verification and the remote health check without writing new trust.stats --tableandstats --watch 5sshow timestamped snapshots; failed hosts do not hide healthy hosts. JSON watch produces one report per line.[commands.NAME]andrun SELECTOR NAMEreuse common shell commands, sudo and timeout settings; dry runs avoid connections.- Bash, Zsh, Fish and PowerShell completion includes host aliases, groups, saved commands and guide topics.
reboot-required,update --check-rebootandreboot --batch-sizesupport maintenance checks and stop later reboot batches after a failure.- Restricted OpenSSH import and TOML/JSON/OpenSSH export help migration; imports do not execute local commands or overwrite aliases, and exports exclude credential references and secret-store values.
- Single-file SFTP upload/download uses the existing verified SSH routes; destinations are protected unless
--overwriteis explicit, and group downloads use separate directories.
Errors now explain the failing operation and an actionable next command. Missing arguments and invalid runtime flags show the relevant help before reading configuration. English remains the default; separate English, Japanese and Chinese documentation and offline guides cover the new workflows.
Validation: full local Go regression suite, Go vet, isolated command-line smoke checks and npm launcher tests. GitHub CI additionally checks race detection, native credentials and builds on Windows, macOS and Linux. Remote action tests use local SSH/SFTP fixtures; this remains an alpha Go release.
The stable npm launcher automatically discovers this preview while no stable Go release exists. Run npx fleetsh --refresh version to bypass cached release metadata. No npm republish is needed.
fleetsh v0.1.0-alpha.6
Bare fleetsh edit HOST now reports the missing change option and displays full command help instead of silently rewriting the inventory. Global --config and --json options do not count as changes.
To correct a locally saved SSH password, run fleetsh edit HOST --save-password, enter the correct server password twice, then connect with fleetsh ssh HOST. Help and the English, Japanese and Chinese documentation now explain password replacement, authentication switching and preserved shared credentials. This does not change the remote server password.
fleetsh docs password is an alias for passwords. Unknown topics show available topics and full documentation help, including correct npx fleetsh docs password spacing.
Validation: full Go regression suite and vet; local SSH fixture verifies wrong-password rejection and successful authentication after replacement; bare-edit and alias regressions.
fleetsh v0.1.0-alpha.5
Add a host directly without a separate init command.
addautomatically creates a missing inventory and parent directories at the default location or the selected--config PATH.- Creation uses the existing inventory lock and atomic write. Concurrent first additions preserve all hosts. Validation, password confirmation and credential preparation happen before saving; failed additions do not create an inventory file.
- Existing invalid or unreadable inventories are reported rather than replaced. Other commands identify a missing inventory and suggest add or optional init, including consistent custom-config usage.
- Duplicate-host and unknown-host errors include actionable edit/add/list guidance.
- English, Japanese and Chinese documentation, README examples and offline help explain automatic creation.
initremains available for an empty commented example and preserves existing files.
Validation: full Go tests and go vet passed locally. Regression coverage includes default/custom paths, automatic password references, concurrent creation, existing-file preservation, failed first additions and missing-inventory diagnostics.
The npm launcher remains at 0.1.0. Run npx fleetsh --refresh version to bypass the release metadata cache and use this Go preview when no stable Go release exists.
fleetsh v0.1.0-alpha.4
Make password login the default when adding an SSH host and explain agent authentication failures.
add HOST --host ADDRESS --user USERnow defaults to password authentication, prompts twice with hidden input, and saves a generated OS credential reference automatically.--auth keyand--auth agentremain available explicitly.- Existing hosts retain their saved authentication mode. Switch a password-based VPS created with agent authentication using
fleetsh edit HOST --auth password, then retryfleetsh ssh HOST. - Unavailable agents, empty agents, and failures to read agent keys now identify
auth=agentand provide commands for password and key-file authentication, plus guidance to start the agent and load a key. - English, Japanese and Chinese documentation and offline CLI guides explain the defaults and migration. TOML hosts without an auth field retain the legacy agent default for compatibility.
Validation: complete Go tests and go vet passed locally. Regression coverage includes automatic password saving without an auth flag, preserved authentication on unrelated edits, migration from agent to password, and actionable agent diagnostics.
The npm launcher remains at 0.1.0 and automatically discovers this preview when no stable Go release exists. Run npx fleetsh --refresh version to bypass the release metadata cache.
fleetsh v0.1.0-alpha.3
Explain required host options and show actionable command help.
add HOSTvalidates missing or empty required options before inventory loading or password prompts, listing all missing options with command help on stderr and exit code 2.--hostis required for every host,--userfor SSH hosts, and--keywith key authentication. Help clearly distinguishes the local alias from the connection address and labels the required conditions.- Console-only hosts may omit the SSH username.
editreuses saved values and validates the resulting host, including authentication/connection changes. - Invalid host values and conflicting host options now include relevant command help. Configuration-loading and runtime errors retain their existing diagnostics.
- English, Japanese and Chinese documentation includes the required-option table; add help links directly to that section.
The npm launcher remains at 0.1.0 and automatically discovers this Go preview when no stable Go release exists. Run npx fleetsh --refresh version to bypass the one-hour release metadata cache. Exact and bundled selections remain pinned.
fleetsh v0.1.0-alpha.2
Fix command usage feedback and documentation links.
- Missing or extra positional arguments and invalid flags now show the relevant command help, examples and flags on stderr, with exit code 2.
fleetsh execandfleetsh exec whoamiexplain that both a host/group selector and one quoted command are required, and includefleetsh exec '@all' "whoami"as an example.- Configuration and remote execution errors retain their existing diagnostics and exit codes.
- Built-in help and offline guides link directly to HTTPS documentation, avoiding the HTTP redirect inherited by the default GitHub Pages address.
The npm launcher stays at 0.1.0. It discovers this Go preview automatically when no stable Go release exists; run npx fleetsh --refresh version to bypass the one-hour release metadata cache. Exact release and bundled selections remain pinned.
fleetsh v0.1.0-alpha.1
fleetsh v0.1.0-alpha.1
This is a development prerelease of the agentless Go VPS fleet manager.
fleetsh alivechecks authenticated SSH liveness;fleetsh stats(aliasmonitor) prints Linux CPU, memory, swap, current user and free disk space. Both default to all hosts.- SSH routes support global defaults, per-host overrides, explicit direct connections, ProxyJump, and authenticated SOCKS5/HTTP/HTTPS CONNECT.
- Named configuration profiles support local, remote and dynamic TCP port forwarding through
fleetsh forward HOST [NAME], including offline dry runs and listener/stream cleanup. - Command help includes examples; eleven offline guides cover configuration, passwords, groups, monitoring, proxies, forwarding and maintenance.
- Documentation is separated into English, Japanese and Chinese, with English as the default.
Validation: three-platform CI and six cross-builds passed. Local fixtures exercise real traffic, proxy authentication, startup rollback, cancellation, disconnects and half-close responses. Monitoring was also checked on a Linux VPS. This prerelease is not a stable release.
Archives include GPL-3.0-only licensing and third-party notices. Check SHA256SUMS before installation.
