Release list
karmenbot 0.1.1
karmenbot 0.1.1
Install the terminal assistant without a desktop beta invite. The installer, app archive, kernel runtime and checksums are available from this release.
macOS and Linux:
curl -fsSL https://github.com/KarmenLoop/karmenbot/releases/latest/download/install.sh | shWindows PowerShell:
irm https://github.com/KarmenLoop/karmenbot/releases/latest/download/install.ps1 | iexRun karmenbot --version and karmenbot doctor, then open karmenbot settings to connect your model. File changes and commands require approval. For an unattended command, --yes explicitly approves its changes and commands.
The app source is GPL-3.0-only with its existing kernel linking exception. The separately packaged KARMEN LOOP runtime is proprietary; its terms and original component notices are included in the kernel asset. Kernel development source stays in private repositories. The runtime archive is a licensed distribution, not an open-source release of the kernel. Original third-party licenses remain in force.
Windows bootstrap decoding now passes one Base64 argument to PowerShell, fixing an installer that returned without creating a launcher. This release also repairs failed downloads caused by the website's desktop beta invite gate. Source kernel downloads and update checks use the same public release channel. Kernel installation validates SHA-256 hashes before replacing an existing runtime and restores the previous runtime if replacement fails.
Validation includes 82 local tests plus a Windows-only PowerShell execution check, public-source checks, clean installation with a private Node.js runtime, refusal of corrupted downloads, and installed file write/readback with approval and model continuation. The installed task checks use a local model protocol fixture; they do not certify your model account, quota, or chat-app credentials.
Native installation passed on GitHub Windows, Linux and macOS Intel runners. The same public assets passed on macOS ARM, including downloading a private Node.js runtime. Each check starts the installed kernel, refuses an unapproved write, then approves a write and verifies file readback and model continuation.
