Nextcloud Integration
Connect your own Nextcloud server from Settings using an app password. Your credentials stay on your device in secure storage.
Send photos, videos, and voice messages through your own server. Media uploads in full original quality and arrives as a clean link that renders like a native photo, video, or audio bubble for the recipient.
Voice messages can now be up to 10 minutes long when sent through Nextcloud, up from the 10 second on-chain limit.
Record video directly from the in-chat camera when Nextcloud media sending is on.
Browse your server with the new "Send from Nextcloud" picker: set a start folder, view photo thumbnails in a grid, and share any file type straight into a chat.
Link previews for shared Nextcloud files cover everything: photos, videos, audio with an inline player, PDFs with a built-in viewer, and a tidy attachment card for documents and other files.
Back up your full chat history to your server, manually or automatically once an hour with a daily catch-up on launch. Choose exactly which folder backups go to. Backups made on iPhone can be restored on Android and vice versa.
Fees shown for media messages now reflect reality: sending through Nextcloud costs the same tiny fee as a short text message.
If an upload ever fails, your message still goes out through the classic on-chain path with a heads-up toast.
All of the above works in group chats too.
Sharing Into KaChat
KaChat now appears in your phone's share sheet. Share a link, photo, or text from any app and it lands in a chat with the composer pre-filled, ready to send.
Recent conversations show up as quick targets: on iPhone through suggested contacts in the share sheet, on Android through Direct Share avatars.
Cold Storage and KasSigner
Air-gapped signing now supports up to 32 inputs per transaction to match KasSigner firmware 1.0.5, so consolidating a busy address takes far fewer rounds.
Desktop gains the full Cold Storage experience: kpub accounts, address discovery, balances with used and unused badges, per-address transaction history and UTXOs, QR sheets, and the complete KasSigner signing flow with animated QR codes and webcam scan-back.
Much faster balance loading through batched node queries and smart caching.

The dock now holds every menu at once, with auto-hide and per-account layouts. The old cycling behavior is gone.
Refreshing the page keeps you exactly where you were, right down to the Cold Storage screen you had open.

Final 4.0 Build
This is the official 4.0 release build, replacing the earlier pre-release APK. On top of everything above it adds: chess time controls (3|2, 2|1, 1|1 with per-turn clocks and win on time), a smoother KaPosts feed and profile experience with an iOS-matching header and pull to refresh, encrypted Nextcloud backups with near-live cross-device sync, broadcast room polish (instant open at the newest message, notification bell fixes), a large cellular data reduction pass so the app is friendly to mobile data plans, an honest connection dot that only turns red when you are truly disconnected, and working in-app swaps.
