Private Vault Overview v1.5.0
v1.5.0
New since 1.4.0:
- Search hides vaults with no match. While a query is in the box, only the vaults holding something that answers it are shown, whether the item is in the vault itself or packed inside a shulker box. The ender chest tile and vaults you have never opened are hidden too, since there is nothing in them to match. Clearing the box (or pressing Esc) brings every vault back.
- "(no matches)" is added to the heading when nothing answers the search, so a gallery left with only the "+" tile reads as an empty search and not as lost vaults.
- The gallery scrolls back to the top when the query changes, since hiding tiles reflows everything under you.
Which vaults match is worked out once per change to the query rather than every frame, so a running search costs no more per frame than before.
Gates at release: 202 unit tests green, full client gametest suite green including a new no-match search screenshot, Java 25, Minecraft 26.2, Fabric.
Private Vault Overview v1.4.0
v1.4.0
New since 1.3.0:
- Lock for custom sorting — a Lock: button beside Sort: in the title bar. With it on, the custom order still shows but nothing can be dragged: a press on a tile opens the vault at once, exactly as in numeric mode. Greyed out in numeric mode, remembered per profile.
- No more enchantment glint in the cells — the 26.2 GUI caches item sprites in an atlas, but re-renders any glinting one from scratch every frame, and a gallery of enchanted gear was exactly what pulled the frame rate down. Decoded stacks now draw with the glint switched off (the enchantments themselves are untouched, so tooltips still list them) and the slot behind an enchanted item is tinted purple instead, which costs nothing.
- Settings → Performance — three switches, each of which draws less: Enchant marker On/Off, Item sprites All / Hovered tile, Cell grid Lines / Flat.
- Built for hundreds of vaults — grid cells are drawn as one block plus gap lines (14 quads per tile instead of 54), the per-frame section split no longer scans the vault list once per vault, and the profile is written to disk on a background thread from a snapshot, so a star clicked in a gallery of three hundred vaults no longer stalls the game while sixteen megabytes of JSON go out.
Measured at 300 full vaults in the dev client: gallery cost per frame 1.17 → 0.18 ms, save on the render thread 127 ms → 0.05 ms.
Gates at release: 202 unit tests green, full client gametest suite green including the new lock and performance phases, Java 25, Minecraft 26.2, Fabric.
Private Vault Overview v1.3.0
v1.3.0
New since 1.2.0:
- Search looks inside shulker boxes — a query now matches items packed inside a box, not just the ones sitting in a vault's own slots. A box holding a match is outlined in aqua rather than gold: gold still means "here it is", aqua means "it is in this box". A box that answers in its own right — searching "shulker" — stays a gold hit.
- The hover tooltip names what matched — an aqua box lists its hits under a Matches inside: heading with counts, capped at five plus a total so a box of nothing but matches cannot draw a tooltip taller than the screen.
- Matches are glinted in the Tweakeroo peek — with
tweakShulkerBoxDisplayon, the preview over a hovered box marks the matching items with an enchantment glint, in place, in the box's own grid. The mark rides on the item rather than being drawn over another mod's preview, so it needs no knowledge of Tweakeroo's layout or version. While a search is running the glint means "this matched" and nothing else; only previews of boxes that contain a match are touched at all. - Nested boxes followed three deep, and nothing is asked of the server: a packed container carries its contents in
DataComponents.CONTAINER, which the mod already stored. Any item that keeps contents that way is searched the same, so a modded backpack usually works for free.
Fixed in this release: the merged feature called ItemContainerContents.stream(), which does not exist in 26.2, so the build was broken between the merge and this tag. It now calls allItemsCopyStream where slot order matters and nonEmptyItemCopyStream on the walks.
Gates at release: 193 unit tests green, full client gametest suite green including the shulker search phase, Java 25, Minecraft 26.2, Fabric.
Private Vault Overview v1.2.0
v1.2.0
New since 1.1.0:
- Tweakeroo shulker peek — hovering a shulker box cell in the gallery now fires item-tooltip mods: with Tweakeroo's
tweakShulkerBoxDisplayon, the contents preview pops exactly as in a real container screen (map preview and ender-chest item preview come along free). - Ender chest in the bookmarked row — the separate pinned section is gone; the ender chest tile sits flush right in the ★ Bookmarked row. Bookmarks flow from the left, wrap around it, and drag/reorder never touches it.
- 24 preset colors — two rows of swatches under the editor's hex field: Minecraft's sixteen dye colors (exact
DyeColorvalues) plus gold, teal, sky, lavender, mint, hot pink, maroon and navy. Clicking one types its hex into the field.
Gates at release: 187 unit tests green, full client gametest suite green, Java 25, Minecraft 26.2, Fabric.
Private Vault Overview v1.1.0
v1.1.0
New since 1.0.0:
- Auto-add — typing a vault command (e.g.
/pv 7) creates its tile automatically; toggleable. - Auto-naming — a captured vault can take its container's name; overwrite semantics in README.
- Per-vault colors — hex color field in the editor tints the tile name and border.
- Red NO DATA tiles — vaults never opened render red with a watermark.
- Stack counts — optional per-cell quantity digits, plus a hold-Left-Shift override.
- Settings screen — gear button: command base, auto-add, auto-naming, stack numbers, custom sort, ender chest tile, tile size.
- Custom sort — drag tiles into your own order; persists.
- Item search — search bar in the title bar; matches outlined gold, misses dimmed.
- Ender chest tile — pinned section above bookmarks;
/ecand/enderchestcaptured like a vault. - Tile size — Small / Medium / Large (12/15/18 px cells).
Gates at release: 181 unit tests green, full client gametest suite green, Java 25, Minecraft 26.2, Fabric.
Private Vault Overview 1.0.0
First release.
Client-side Fabric mod for Minecraft 26.2 (Java 25, Fabric Loader 0.19.3+, Fabric API 0.156.0+26.2).
- Press
~(grave, rebindable) to open a gallery of your server's private vaults - Tiles cache and show each vault's contents as a mini item grid; unseen vaults show a NO DATA watermark
- Click a tile to run its command (default
/pv N, editable per vault — WorldEdit-style//commands supported); contents re-capture automatically when the vault closes - Works for manually typed vault commands too
- Bookmarks (★ section), custom names, custom item icons, searchable icon picker
- Per-server and per-world profiles under
config/private-vault-overview/
Install: drop the jar in your mods folder alongside Fabric API.
Known limitations (see README): capture assumes the plugin opens a standard container screen with a non-zero container id — verified end-to-end in an automated client gametest, not yet against a live vault plugin server.
