MetawatchPHR 0.2.0 — build c002cb9162ef
Windows · beta · free for personal non-commercial use
What's new
Your records can no longer overwrite one another. If you kept the same document in two formats — a PDF and a Word copy of the same report, say — MetawatchPHR built one filename for both, and the second one it read replaced the first. The record disappeared and the scan report still said the run was fully accounted for. Both are now kept, and if the app is ever unsure whether a record belongs to a document it has seen before, it writes a new one rather than replacing anything.
Every record links back to the document it came from. The "Original" button now works on records written by this version, so you can always open the source document a record was built from.
Uninstalling while the app is running now works. Previously it left a locked folder behind — about 66 MB — and reported success anyway, and that folder then blocked the next install.
Installing over a running copy now works too. The app is stopped for you before files are replaced, so you no longer see Windows asking about files in use.
The Settings screen tells you the truth about your own key. It now shows the key you entered and nothing else. Previously it could display the last four characters of a different key held elsewhere on your computer, and calls could go out on that one.
The consent switch now matches what the app actually does. After an upgrade it could read ON while the app correctly refused to send anything. Nothing ever left your machine — the switch was wrong, not the lock — and it now states exactly what has been granted, in both languages.
The scan report says which version produced it. If you ever send it to support, the first line now names the build, when it was made, and the Windows version you ran it on.
Before you install
The installer is not code-signed. Windows SmartScreen will show a "Windows protected your PC" warning on first run, and User Account Control will ask about an unknown publisher. To install: click More info, then Run anyway, then Yes.

Première version publique de MetawatchPHR. Installateur Windows à double-clic ; la version macOS
suit.
English
First public release of MetawatchPHR. Double-click Windows installer; macOS follows.
What you get
- One unified health record built from your own documents — hospital reports, lab results,
prescriptions, DICOM imaging — organised, searchable, and kept on your machine. - Self-contained install. The installer carries everything it needs; there is nothing else to set
up. - The install wizard opens in French, and all six legal documents ship in both languages.
- AI runs locally on your own hardware. No record leaves your computer.
- Optional cloud AI (Google Gemini, on your own key) — off by default, and never used without your
explicit, recorded consent. - Every record carries its provenance and an integrity seal that reveals any later alteration.
- Optional hospital connectors: $5 each, $10 for all. One-time purchase.
- A plain-language scan report after every run: what was read, what was skipped, and why.
- The installed product contains no readable source code — enforced automatically at build time, and
upgrades remove any left behind by earlier versions.
Known limitations
- The installer is not yet code-signed. Windows SmartScreen will warn you; choose More info → Run
anyway. Signing is in progress. - macOS is not yet published. The build exists and will be released after validation.
- The "Original" button works for the majority of files. A small number of records do not yet open
their original document. - The review queue is incomplete in this release. It does not affect importing, analysis, or the
integrity of your records. - If a
GEMINI_API_KEYenvironment variable already exists on your computer, it takes precedence
over the key you save in the app, and the screen shows that variable's last four characters rather
than your own. Your calls would bill to the wrong key. If you have never set that variable, this does
not affect you. - After an upgrade, the consent switch may read "on" while the engine still refuses — because a
consent grant is recorded per host and per version. The refusal is correct and is protecting your
data; toggle the switch off and on to realign it. A fresh install is unaffected.
