Solipsism Browser 9.0.0
Major release: the complete 8.0.5 feature set, bundled Antares 0.2.3 engine, and onboarding upgrades.
Highlights
- Browser-core chooser with hidden Antares quick-start: long-press the logo on the appearance page to jump straight in with the Black AMOLED preset (black theme, teal accent, right rail, DuckDuckGo).
- Native homepage, dual-core tab system, and reworked settings (Basics / Experience / Innovative Features / About) with a unique icon for every entry.
- Onboarding shortcuts: globe button for instant in-app language switching, wheelchair button jumping straight to Accessibility settings.
- Top and bottom rail layouts alongside left/right, with per-mode constraint handling.
- Complete translations: every string now covered in all 20 supported locales.
- Black-tab fixes carried forward: background WebView tabs are no longer paused, stalled loads are rescued, and crashed render processes reload automatically instead of staying black.
- Bumped version to 9.0.0 (versionCode 153) and the bundled Antares engine to 0.2.3.
- Production ARM64/ARMv7 packaging with resource shrinking, signed with the established release key so 8.x installs update in place.
Antares is bundled in the same APK; Android WebView remains the stable fallback.
Known limitations: Antares remains experimental, and some complex sites, media players and Web APIs may behave differently from Android WebView.
