Native macOS menu-bar battery monitor + VIA configurator for the Keychron V1 Max.

⚠️ Compatibility — custom firmware

This bundle includes a custom (patched QMK) keyboard firmware, not stock Keychron firmware. The prebuilt .bin and the app are for the Keychron V1 Max — ANSI, encoder (knob) variant only; do not flash the prebuilt .bin on any other board. The patch only touches Keychron's shared QMK wireless code, so it can be rebuilt for other Keychron wireless "…Max" boards (Q/V/K …Max) — untested. Rollback to stock anytime via firmware/stock/…bin (the STM32 ROM bootloader can't be bricked).

App

  • Battery in the menu bar: live %/voltage over USB (custom 0xA4 command), charging-aware with smoothing; last-known over the 2.4 GHz dongle.
  • Keymap remap, macros editor, RGB lighting over the VIA raw-HID protocol.
  • 7 UI languages (English / Русский / 中文 / فارسی / Deutsch / Français / Italiano), switchable live in Settings.

Firmware patch (firmware/battery-0xA4.patch)

  • 0xA4 battery read-out over USB + Fn+B on-board colour gauge (red/amber/green by level).

Download KeebTool-2.0-macOS.zip — macOS 13+ (Apple Silicon). Ad-hoc signed: first launch → right-click → Open. Or build from source: cd app/KeebTool && make run.
